2012 to 09/2015 Aecom (URS) – Denver, Colorado – 2012 to present
Principal Civil Engineer for the Morenci Tailings Storage Expansion Project
covering the ETPS – expanded tailing pump station - and tailings distribution
lines.
2010 to 2012 Fluor - Project Engineer, Conga Project – Chile and Peru – Engineering
Management of three major subcontracts:
 Direct supervision for infrastructure civil engineering work done by Knight
Piesold responsible for the design and issuing of construction drawings
covering three major sediment ponds, two main reservoirs, 10 km of contact
and non-contact drainage channels
 Improvement plans for the ROM pad, Primary Crusher, Mine truck facility,
Haul road and Process plant.
 Weekly coordination meetings at the main office in Santiago and various site
visits to the main office in Denver to discuss design and schedule
implementation.
 Direct supervision of third party local sub-contractors providing much of the
offsite infrastructure such as roads, water and temporary camps.
 Construction management support for:
 Implementation of environmental BMP practices by the use of L1, L2 and L3
sediment control structures including the use of flocculants. Managed design
proposed by Mr. Richard Warner, present developer of the widely use
sediment control software SEDCAD.
 Mine Operations and Construction schedule coordination.
 Monthly meetings with operations to discuss any design improvements.
 Total earthwork capital cost estimated at over $650 million.
1997 to 2010 URS - (Morrison Knudsen)
Piceance Development Project – ExxonMobil
 Principal civil engineer for the EPCM Piceance Development Project.
Work covered design of three major evaporation ponds – not built - a
natural gas processing facility, natural gas process tank batteries, office
building complex and construction camp facilities.
Springerville Stage 4, 175 MW Power Project – Arizona Salt River
 Principal civil engineer for the EPCM Stage 4 175 Mw Power Project.
Work covered engineering design and field support during construction for
the main plant including 5 double-lined evaporation ponds, coal yard
facilities, cooling water towers, and 12-foot diameter reinforced concrete
recirculation water line.
Machala Power Project, Machala, Ecuador, Samedan Inc.
 Principal civil engineer for the EPCM design and construction for a new
120 MW plant and 230 kV substation including the construction of a 10
mile 230 kV transmission line. Field civil engineer during the two year
construction.
Apex Silver, San Cristobal Project, Bolivia,
 Managed coordination of subcontractors performing infrastructure design
services for all the site development at the San Cristobal mining project in
Bolivia. Project included a 300 km haul road into Chile.

Compañía Minera Maricunga, Amax Gold, Chile
 Managed the design done by a third party engineering firm of a 100 km
alternative access road for the Amax Gold Refugio Mine in Chile. The road
is presently under use. Main coordination done at their main office in
Santiago.
Highway SR-125 Project. Chula Vista, California.
 Responsible for field design work to cover design/construct contract
documents for major highway drainage in Chula Vista, California.
1987 to 1997 Fluor Daniel, Inc., Redwood City, California and Golden, Colorado,
Newmont Mining Corporation, Batu Hijau, Indonesia
 Principal civil engineer during the Feasibility and Interim Phase for the
$1.9 billion grassroots copper project in Indonesia.
Freeport McMoran, Indonesia,
 Field Civil Engineer for the 115,000 MTPD expansion in Irian Jaya.
Responsible for offsite rough grading implementation and bench blasting.
BHP Utah International, Inc, Coloso Copper Concentrate Leaching Project,
Chile
 Lead Civil Engineer. Responsible for the $150 million new concentrate-
leaching project built in Antofagasta, Chile. Work covered from early
feasibility studies to field construction.
Compañía Minera Quebrada Blanca, S.A., Quebrada Blanca, Chile,
 Assistant Lead Civil Engineer. Prepared heap leach grading plans using
DCA-CAD civil software. Work included earthwork calculations for leach
pads of varying height.
Phelps Dodge Corporation, Morenci Expansion Phase III, Morenci, Arizona.
 Responsible for the on-site SX plant infrastructure design. Work included
two lined ponds (Raffinate and PLS), tank farm, settlers, and one on-site
Raffinate pump stations. Off-site included all site preparation for three
14,000 gpm booster pump stations and access roads. Prepared plan and
profile drawings for a five mile Raffinate pipeline.
BHP Utah International, Inc., Escondida Copper project, Chile,
 Principal civil engineer responsible for rough and final grading contract
drawings covering the main concentrator area and the offshore loading
facilities at the Port of Coloso, Antofagasta, Chile
Newmont Mining Corporation, Yanacocha, Peru, Lead Civil Engineer.
 Responsible for Stages 2 and 3 at Carachugo, and Maqui contract drawings
and field support for the ongoing expansions at both sites.
Bond Gold, Inc., Bullfrog Gold Project, Beatty, Nevada, Assistant Lead Civil
Engineer.
 Responsible for preparation of rough and final grading plans and
construction specifications. Included were solution collection ponds and
tailings ponds.
Dallhold Resources, Inc., Richmond Hill Gold Project, South Dakota, Lead
Civil Engineer.
 Responsible for preparation of rough and final grading plans and
specifications. Leach pads including leach collection systems.

Rum Creek Coal Sales, Aracoma Coal Project, Logan County, West
Virginia.
 Feasibility work done for various alternatives in open pit coal mining and
studies for optimum truck haulage routing.
Chevron Corporation, Asphalt Plant Environmental Clean-Up, Chevron
Refinery, Richmond, California, Project Engineer.
 Responsible for the management of a $2 million environmental clean-up
project. Project involved demolition of abandoned tanks, pipe racks, pump
stations followed by full land restoration including major storm water
segregation studies.
Chevron Corporation, Asphalt Plant Environmental Clean-Up, Chevron
Refinery, Richmond, California, Lead Civil Engineer.
 Responsible for implementing Chevron storm water design criteria in order
to assure process water and storm water are segregated. Created
improvement plans for the consolidation of all process equipment to assure
proper storm and process water was segregated.
1979 to 1987 Wild Cat and San Pablo Creek Project, Richmond, California
 Responsible for preparation of contract drawings and specifications for
major flood control project. Work consisted of 1.3 miles of channel
improvements containing levees, sedimentation basin, drainage structures,
and utility relocation.
West County Justice Center, Richmond, California, Lead Senior Civil
Engineer.
 Off-site civil design work consisted of relocation of two miles of primary
roads and one sanitary sewer pump station.
City of Danville, Associate Civil Engineer, 1985 to 1986.
 Responsible for the processing of tentative and final maps and
implementation of capital improvement projects.
Tudor Engineering Company, Associate Civil Engineer, 1979 to
1985
 Worked on various small hydroelectric projects, 10 MW, during feasibility
and final design. Studies covered transient conditions for proposed water
penstocks using John Parmakian water hammer program.
Alameda Navy Base Air Facility, Alameda, California, Lead Civil Engineer.
 Responsible for all civil work on the project including lift stations for
sanitary sewer and industrial waste, airplane parking apron, pavement
design, drainage, and utility relocation.
Los Angeles Mass transit district, Associate Civil Engineer.
 Prepared constructions drawings for 3.5 miles of underground mass transit
rail consisting of TBM tunneling design and a main underground train
station.
