Maintenance Engineer and Material coordinator at Gas and Water injection @ ASAB filed (600,000
BPD of oil production and 900 MMSCFPD of gas production) with the following duties and
responsibilities:
Maintenance Engineer
• Plan and schedule Maintenance activity (preventive and corrective activity) for all mechanical
equipment (Pumps- Air compressor- Gas Reciprocating Compresses - Chemical pumps – Motorized
valves – Valves gear box – Safety relief valves – Heat exchanger and fan coolers).
• Prioritize maintenance activity according to the equipment criticality (safety and production).
• Supervise maintenance team day to day execution of the maintenance program as well as
troubleshooting of rotating equipment within area of responsibility including issuing necessary
PTW, certificates & TRA.
• Follow up major repairs / overhauls at contractors’ workshops and attend critical activities
including Gas turbines and compressors major inspections 12K and 24K.
• Technical study for chronic problems and proposing possible engineering solutions.
• Follow up the stock level of all the necessary spare parts for rotating equipment within area of
responsibility.
• Prepare Spare Parts Interchange-ability Record (SPIR) for any new/upgrade Projects.
• Provide the necessary feedback of the performed activities to the CMMS (MAXIMO & SAP)
system including used spares, man power, tools, job duration, …
• Comply with Maintenance Compliance Factor (MCF) on monthly basis and work to keep MCF in
high performance and overhead targets.

• Carry out trouble shooting for mechanical equipment as well as vibration analysis and failure root
cause analysis.
• Carry out necessary modifications to enhance the reliability of equipment such as:
- Mechanical seal buffer system auto control instead of manual control.
- Main lube oil pump upgrade of surface water injection pumps to avoid repeated failures.
• Participate as team member of major shut team, preparing shut down activity and activity duration
list , Shutdown spare parts preparation and order to ensure the availability of materials timely
adhere , follow up shut down progress , cooperation with sister company and contractors to
complete shutdown activity within shut down window.
• Carry out vessels and heat exchangers preparation for inspection and repair (positive isolation and
cleaning).
• Commissioning and startup of water injection facility upgrade project.

4. • Head of pump and Reciprocating equipment workshop supervising and monitoring the activities of
75 sub-ordinates. Over 75 unit of reciprocating engines / compressors and 666 pumps were under
my responsibility.
• Monitoring operation of different types , application and different sizes of pumps and reciprocating
equipment (Fresh water pump ,high capacity Crude oil pumps, sea water injection pumps ,
chemical pumps), (gas engine and diesel engine which service as drive for electric generator ,crude
oil pumps ,fire water pumps and reciprocating gas compressors).
• Maintenance, overhauling and troubleshooting for pumps (Goulds pump , Sulzer Bingham pumps ,
Milton ray chemical pumps, Byron Jackson pumps , Dresser Rand pumps) ,reciprocating equipment
(manufactured by Waukesha and Caterpillar Company and reciprocating air compressors and rotary
air compressors different size manufactured by I. R. company) and gear boxes (Philadelphia gear
