As the war for top talent is at an all-time high, our need for capable teammates to lighten our load has hit the "yesterday is too late" warning level, and our own desire to get much more out of our career trajectories is somewhere between red and white-hot, a simple question is rarely answered correctly: what are we to do to find the right people and to stand out ourselves?
While the traditional resume has been enhanced by better design techniques (infographics! Presi! personal websites!) and smartly maintained social presences, these mediums can (still) be too easily manipulated in the applicant's favor—just like that supposedly objective reference call that gets made in the final stages of most hiring decisions.
The answer to finding the right talent and / or positioning ourselves better therefore can't be digital, analog, or even external. Rather, it comes down to one simple thing truth: professional excellence. Either you have it, or you need to work hard to achieve it.
This presentation contains practical, next-level tips to help you become the best version of your professional self (for job seekers) and help you better vett talent (for job hirers). Come away armed with the tactics you need to grow and nurture your skills, deliver world class work product, earn trust and respect, successfully collaborate, and generally take your game up a notch so you advance your career.

How to Reduce Your Public Speaking Anxiety
Anxiety will interfere with your ability to be comfortable, confidence and charismatic, and often times it comes from our threat of perceive social rejection. We are fearful that if someone knows us that they will reject us. Furthermore, we don’t want another to think of us as stupid. This self-defeating thinking get is our way and shows up in the body. The following is a list to help you think and reduce your anxiety so you can enjoy presenting.
1. Re-frame the experience. Do NOT dwell in the uncertainty, but instead focus your mind on the phrase “It’s just a conversation.” Whether it’s a conversation of one-on-one or one-to-many, it’s still simply a conversation. Think that way.
2. You believe you more than anyone else in the world; therefore you must control the brain messages (thoughts) that are self-defeating. You are not an idiot, You are in fact a beautiful wonderful person. Be sure to tell yourself that you are worthy and competent.
3. Be careful of the ‘imposter syndrome.’ The thoughts say tell you that you don’t have anything of value to offer – that you do not belong in this situation. By being in the situation, you have something to offer.
4. Manage your body. When our threat response is activated, our biology is to funnel energy to prepare us to fight or flight. Therefore energy goes out of our brains and into our arms and legs. This is biology. To quiet the threat response, breathe deep and tell yourself that you are safe, that you are prepared, that you are worthy, and that the audience is for you. Additionally, know that the threat response is often at its height at the beginning of the talk; therefore, plan an audience activity in the beginning to give yourself a moments break, or perhaps take a sip of water. Just a little moment will help.
5. Prepare more information that you need. In the moment of execution, you will forget to say some information and other information. No worries. Nobody but you knows of your change. Enjoy it. Don’t be thrown-off by the change. Go with the flow.
6. Practice. Practice. Practice. Your brain has difficulty distinguishing imagination and reality. Use this strategy to make the uncertain certain. It will reduce your anxiety.
7. When you practice, spend more time on the introduction. Polish it to perfection and you’ll feel ...

to host the National Convocation last October as part of the
CMC.
Truly, I am blessed to have been given the opportunity by the
CDA Chair keynoting as your Guest in today’s convocation
Much thanks and appreciation goes to Dir Cris RD R3 and staff
for making it possible,
5. Cooperative Journey started
in 1984.From South
Cotabato to Region 1
Ako po ay kawani ng gobierno sa loob ng
43 years. Out of 43 years – I served the
CDA for 30 years starting as CDS-II, Sr
CDS, Supervising CDS then RD in
2015. Words are not enough to express
how thankful I am for all the opportunities
given to me. I will certain-ly treasure the
kindness and care I received. It
definitely contributed to my growth,
personally and professionally speaking.
6. Life Lessons which are meaningful to me
1. The value of sacrifice
2. We have this pandemic of the mind. Every person
has a belief, each person has a choice.
3. Life isn’t always smooth sailing.
4. Focus on solutions. What actions do we take?
5. Don’t do things in half measures or playing it safe.
7. life Lessons
1. Sacrifice. Having been raised poor hardened my resolve. So
that the ability to sacrifice is my expertise or the Ability to
endure. It's not a good thing, but it has a positive side to it.
Because you consciously strive hard for something better all
the time, I started as FMT – I, and climbed my way up to
where I am today. Willingness to sacrifice have been a part of
my journey. Willing to do extra miles. To persist, long after
they all gone to rest, ability to focus even when exhausted.
8. 2. We have this pandemic of the mind. Every belief that you have is a
choice. One possibility is to have a right mindset. Fill your mind with +
thoughts - otherwise if it’s empty - weeds will grow deliberately even
without encouragement.
The Mind is like a garden - According to Bryan Tracy, one must plant
something +, cultivate it tend carefully, until it blooms and eventually
they will have flowers. How to do it?
Firstly, to Have a Mental diet – nourish your mind with + ideas,
messages, information, surround yourself with + people, those with
constructive thoughts, and that will help in your personal
transformation
Secondly Exert effort to nourish the mind so that negatives thoughts
will not grow. Feed mental protein like, reading books that are
inspirational or motivational – Books that are uplifting .
9. 3. Life isn’t always smooth sailing so that if
something goes wrong, make adjustment in your
goals. Setbacks teaches us lessons, we must self
correct and carry on.
For example. Listen to Simon Sinek start with why? Dream
Big by Denzel Washinton, Master She Heng Yi for 5
hindrances to self mystery, inspitational messages of Steve
Jobs, Brian Tracy and Tom Bilyeu and a lot of TED speakers
10. 4. Focus on solutions. What actions do we take?
Be a solution oriented person than a problem
oriented person. See the silver lining in every
situation. Believe that you can do it, strive to do it
and to be hopeful, you can be what you want to
be.
11. 5. Don’t do things in half measures or playing it safe. know
when to say Yes and When to say No. There are a lot of
blinding lights in our lives, for example some wish to be on
top but not willing to work, and average people are afraid to
shine in the light.
As the saying goes “there is a time for everything” - You
can't plant a seed and harvest at the same time. There is a
season which is appropriate to plant a seed and a season to
harvest. No two things can happen at the same time.
12. 6. The biggest room in the universe is the room
for improvement.
7. Learning how to manage and lead people is
an intimidating task.
8. Leadership often comes in many different
styles.
9. There are three sides to every story.
10. Behavioral divide
13. 6. The biggest room in the universe is the room for
improvement. Admit your mistakes and self correct. All
improvement begins in your mental picture. Open
yourself to be changed by ideas and information you
choose to believe.
Always feeding your mind, read books ebooks as they
contain the secret of .the universe. Tom Bilyeu said
great writers write their insights. Stream ideas to get in
to your brain, acquire skills and competence and utilize
these skills.
14. 7. Learning how to manage and lead people is a
intimidating task. You will win some and lose some. You
will have those that will walk the line with you and
those who will cross the line. There is a saying that
says:
A fool never learns, a smart man learn from his
mistakes. A wise man learn from the mistakes of
others.
Am more on a smart/wise man
15. 8. Leadership often comes in many different styles
accordingly to the varied situation. No size fits all. As
leader, we wear different hats: Situational Leadership
when we talk on tasks or situation; transactional if we
are tackling objectives to meet our goals, participative
leadership, the collaboration of employees to
collectively provide inputs, transformational – inspiring
employees to share a common vision, and servant
leadership is a listening leader, leading, caring and so
on.
16. 9. There are three sides to every story
Countless investigations have taught me that there
are three sides to every story exist: Yours, mine and the
truth. And that, we can not say that any one party is
deliberately misrepresenting the facts, its sometimes
just a matter of personal biases, our memory or the
circumstances. Nothing is as simple and
straightforward as black and white, true or false, or
clear cut and dry when you are dealing with people.
I have the habit of validating the facts. I cross
referenced sources before I conclude.
17. 10. Faction. Under the neo classical theory of PA, the social facet of work
groups are called informal organizations that operate within a formal
organization. This is a result of beliefs, choices, and interests. Am managing
38 staff with 38 behaviors. There’s a divide in terms of being a diligent and a
relax worker, a divide between a responsible worker and irresponsible
worker, there;s a divide between a dependable and not so dependable
worker, there's a divide between employees who never complained and
workers who complained all the time. There’s a divide between a constant
criticizers using backdoor discussion and a worker who critic with a
corresponding insights. What’s your choice? What’s your pick?
If we only follow the old saying - obey first before you complain, respect
your elders and respect authority then our workplace will be smoother,
more matured and professionally managed. Anyway- the leader is always
accountable for his/her actions and decisions made.
18. Finish Line

19. In closing We are not in the business of self-interest but of
public service; we are co servants, co-workers, and change-
makers. To give the glow of goodness and to provide service
with a purpose. We are striving to do more - striving to do
excellence for the good of our workplace, community or

one; only then can we claim that the service rendered is
fruitful and meaningful.
