4. LIBRARY INTRODUCTION
 College library is established in 2011.The library with an area of 562 Sq. M.
its include reading room with 180 capacity of users and digital library with 6
terminals. Library has sufficient number of reference books, journals, digital
collections, project reports, journals, magazines etc. to support teaching
learning process.
 The college library is fully automated with “Koha” Open Source ILMS
Software. It helps to accessioning, collection retrieving, issuing and returning
of library books. In addition to this, the barcodes of books are generated.
These barcodes are scanned with barcode scanner for book lending.
 The open access system in library enables the users to choose and then select
the books he needs to study. Having established a user-friendly and
conducive environment in the library, the librarian along with his team of
professionals, semi-professional staff is managing the library effectively
rendering online & offline library services to cater to the needs of its
students, teachers and other users.

 Library have automated with “Koha” ILMS

 All library in-house operations are
handled through the “koha” ILMS.
 Koha ILMS is open source software and
works online.
 Library collection has been completely
bar-coded. Three barcode scanner have
been deployed for transaction purpose.

11. LIBRARY SERVICES
 Book Circulation: The Circulation Counter for home lending is kept open
between 8.30am to 4.30pm on all working days. Generally students are
issued 03 books for 15 days and teachers can borrow 10 books at a time
for a period of one month.
 Reference Service: The library staffs, especially the librarian and the
assistant librarian helps to the readers in finding out their queries.
Readers are also provided with relevant documents in print and
electronic form.
 Inter Library Loan Service: The College Library provides inter library
loan facility to users from campus sister libraries.
 Online Public Access Catalogue: The users can browse reading material of
library and also check the status of book availability through OPAC
system.
 Current Awareness Service: Library displays new arrivals on library
portal. Also sends old question papers and changed/revised syllabus to
library users through the e-mail.

12.  Information literacy: Library staff assists to all library users for finding
authentic information on internet as well as offline information.
 Book exhibition: For increasing reading habits of students as well as
retrieve other general knowledge, library arranges book exhibition in the
academic. Central library had arranged unique academy’s competitive
exam book exhibition on 21st Jan. 2019 for students.
 Digital library service: Library has a separate section exclusively devoted
for a digital library. It has in housed with 10 independent machines with
all the multimedia facilities. A patron can search and access subscribed e-
journals and e-books and also listens and watches academic related
audios and videos in a digital library.
 Remote access service: Library has subscribed K-nimbus remote access
platform. Through this platform library users can access all subscribed e-
resources anywhere.
 Book Bank Service: Library : Library has a Book Bank facility, which is
helpful to student’s requirement for the prescribed books on semester
basis.
