 Your library number
and PIN
An email address

9. Sign Up
Enter you name and email
address and create a password*
*Online Security Tip ~ you should never use the same
password for different online services

On the next page, enter the details
of your library account

Under Library: scroll down the list
to ‘International’ and ‘UK’ and select
UK - Lancashire

You can add the rest of the family’s
cards now, if you wish, but this can
be done at any time later in your
account settings

13. Choose your reminders
Note that the text message alert option is not available for
UK Public Libraries

14. Verify your account
When you click finish, an email will
be sent to you. Click on the
‘Confirm’ link to verify your account
No Email? Check your Spam folder

15. Your Account
When you are logged in to your account, you’ll
see a number of options
including ‘Check My Cards’ for an up-to-the-
minute status report

16. Daily snapshots
will show you the status of all your loans
and reservations
The Date and Library links take you straight to
your Lancashire Library account login page

17. Adding more cards
Click ‘Add Card’ to add more
family library accounts
The status of all of them will then show
together in your Elf account

18. Email reminder
are sent when books are nearly due,
overdue or reservations are ready
You can change how often under ‘My Account’
and ‘Options’

19. Update your details
Important! If you ever change your Library
account PIN or get a replacement Library
card, you will need to login to Library Elf
and update those details
Otherwise the email reminders will stop
and you may incur overdue fines
