INTRODUCTION
Let us begin our exploration of the many dimensions of human sexuality by examining how they affect the life of one person: Lisa, an 18-year-old college freshman, involved in her first serious—and sexual—relationship. After several months of dating, Lisa experiences the scare of her life: Her period is late. After a few days she purchases a home-pregnancy kit. As she waits until the morning to take the test, she begins to think about the role of sexuality in her life.
Like most people who grow up in the United States today, Lisa received basic sexuality education in public school. But that brief overview—which Lisa and her friends giggled through—touched only on the physical aspects of reproduction. Nothing prepared her for the emotions she felt during her current relationship, or how her social and cultural upbringing would affect her sexual behavior.
Lisa is a Korean American, a member of a family who respect heritage and tradition. Her parents, a university professor and a homemaker, were born in Korea and had an arranged marriage. The traditional Korean view of sexuality is conservative, and virginity is highly prized for marriage. Although Lisa holds on to many traditional views, she also struggles with the permissive attitude toward sexuality that prevails in the U.S. culture today—an attitude that her boyfriend shares (Brennan, 1999).
An unexpected pregnancy for Lisa would be a major tragedy in her family. Pregnancy outside marriage would shame not only the individual (and make her an “unperson”) but also the entire family. Her family could choose to exile her.
Korean Americans tend not to tolerate secrecy by children and exert strict parental control. The Korean culture discourages open discussion of feelings and seeking out of psychological counseling. Thus Lisa is in a crisis because she feels she cannot tell her parents, but she also cannot tell anyone else (who may in turn tell her parents). In fact, Lisa has yet to tell her boy ...

1) I do not believe that there is a third sex in society. However,.docxmonicafrancis71118
1) I do not believe that there is a third sex in society. However, I am fully supportive of transgender people, as well as all other members apart of the LGBT community. I believe that there are two genders, which are male and female. However, I believe that if a male wishes to transition into a girl, or if a girl wishes to transition into a boy, they should be allowed to do so. I would support their change and refer to them as their new gender identity. I would still consider them either a boy or a girl. Even though they are transgender, I would still refer to them as being either male or female, depending on what they transitioned into. For example, I consider the men in the video who transitioned into women to be female. I do not believe that transgender is a gender itself, which is why I do not believe that there is a third sex in society.
Along with this, I also believe that neither men nor women should have to live up to gender stereotypes. If a person who identifies as a male wishes to act feminine, whether he is or isn't straight, he should be allowed to do so without being insulted. I would still refer to him as being a male. This is also the case with people who identify as women, yet are very masculine. I believe that your gender does not limit you on how you must act or how you sexually identify yourself. Straight males can be feminine just like straight women can be masculine. My reason for mentioning this is from the part in the video where it showed the men who transitioned to women cleaning the house and doing many of the chores that they believe only women should do. I feel that it is perfectly acceptable for a male to do "female" chores, while still identifying as a male.
Lastly, I would like to point out that there are many differences in definitions involving the terms "gender" and "sex." Most people view the term "sex" in a biological sense, meaning to be male or female depending on your genitalia. However, this creates an argument for those who do not identify as male or female, despite what they were biologically born as. The question asked if I believe that there is a "third sex." This would mean that there is a third way a child could be born, as in, they could be male, female, or something else. Obviously, this is impossible, which is why I do not believe that there is a third sex. I feel it is important to mention that my post is simply my opinion. I accept everyone for who they are, no matter how they identify themselves!
2) I do not believe there is a third sex in a society based off of what the word “sex” means. Our book defines sex as “a term that denotes the presence of physical or physiological differences between males and females”. Therefore, this has nothing to do with what someone perceives themselves to be and is determined by biology. Now, human anatomy has always said that there are two sexes, male and female (You either have an XX or an XY on your chromosomes). This suffices to show that it is not eve.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

4. SYNOPSIS OF STORY
Inspired by a true story, this drama from Thailand tells the story of Nong
Toom (Asanee Suwan), who was born in a small community where his
family struggled with poverty, and Nong Toom himself was the target of
bullies who made fun of his delicate nature. From his early childhood, Nong
Toom felt more like a girl than a boy, and when he encounters a transsexual
for the first time, he comes to the realization that he also is a woman
trapped in a man's body. While Nong Toom is not by his nature
aggressive, one day he is forced to fight a bully to defend one of his
friends, and he discovers he has a natural talent for kickboxing. Nong Toom
begins training with a skilled kickboxing coach, Pi Chart (Sorapong
Chatri), but despite the best efforts of Nong Toom and his best friend Pi Bua
(Natcha Bootsri), the secret of his unorthodox sexuality leaks out. To his
surprise, Pi Chart accepts Nong Toom as he is, and boxing promoter Pi Mo
(Somsak Tuangmukda) embraces his lifestyle as a marketable gimmick, as
the fighter now battles his opponents while wearing makeup -- and wins
more often than not; however, Nong Toom begins to alienate his new
following when he declares that his embrace of women's clothing and
makeup is not a joke and that he's saving his prize money to one day have a
sex-change operation. While Beautiful Boxer was based on the life story of
Thai kickboxing champ Nong Toom Prinya Charoenphol, the fighter himself
did not actively participate in the making of the film.

or intersex based on physical/genetic sex).
It is normally related with cross-dressing.
24. TRANSGENDER IN MALAYSIA CONTEXT
• Malaysia have long had traditions for the open
expression of transgenderism and transsexualism.
These are institutionalized in various ways (such as the
Hijra in India) in the these cultures.
• Various forms of open social transition have long
existed, even though they conflict with the religious
beliefs and in almost cases relegate the transitioners to
incredibly low social status.
• Recently the plights of the large numbers of
transgender and transsexual women in Malaysia have
come to the attention of an increasingly open-minded
and pragmatic government.
25. • A survey was taken in order to estimate their numbers.
The survey estimated that there are 50,000
"transsexuals" who are living as women in the country -
a country having a population of about 8 million males
over the age of 13. This number includes those who
have socially transitioned (TG transition) and in smaller
numbers of those who have undergone SRS (TS
transition).
• However, the number of transgender in Malaysia
undoubtedly smaller than in the West.
• Mak Nyah, Pondan and Bapok is the nickname for
transgender
• They are labelled as “third sex” and still fighting for the
rights to be called as women.
26. • Most of them involve in entertainment, make-up artist
and even as sex workers.
• Example of transgender: Fatine Young
27. Fatine Young is also known as Fatine Marissa. She was a
make-up artist. Born Mohammed Fazdil Bin Min Bahari,
she was married to Ian Young in June 2009, three years
after they had met in Kuala Lumpur in Aug 2006. Fatine
is 36 and a pre-op transgender.
