2. Be able to contribute to the setting of team
and individual goals
Describe the process involved in planning and deciding the team’s goals
1. IDENTIFY THE TEAM’S GOALS – Pitch and idea for magazine on student life
2. How did you all get organised? We initially created a mind map, and discussed what uni
students did over fresher's week. We then were able to discuss ideas for the pitch to sell
our product to the class.
3. How did you all provide an input into deciding on your goal? We discussed our ideas we
each chose our favourite and idea and agreed which was the best one.
4. How did you all share ideas for planning your project? Worked together on one computer
5. What factors did you discuss? Genre? Representation? Plot? Filming locations? Props? Costume? We
discussed content for what the magazine would be about and what should go into the pitch
3. UNDERSTAND OWN AND OTHERS
RESPONSIBILITIES IN ACHIEVING THE
TEAM’S GOALS
1. What are your agreed activities within the group? I was responsible for creating ideas for
the content of the magazine and typing this up on to powerpoint, and present to Emma. I
spoke about my own slides during the presentation.
2. Provide information detailing own and other team members’ responsibilities Steph was
responsible for also providing ideas about the magazine, she had to type up her ideas and
during the presentation she spoke about her slides and ideas.
4. BE ABLE TO PLAN AND UNDERTAKE
TEAM ACTIVITIES
1. Plan activities that enable the team to reach its goals. We discussed and created a mind
map, we always checked if were on task.
2. Identify own responsibilities towards the team in relation to the plan. What do you
specifically have to do? Once I thought about my ideas I discussed with Steph, typed them
up on to powerpoint and presented them to Emma.
3. Carry out own responsibilities? Please see screen shots of some my work
4. Contribute to the successful completion of the team activities.

5. BE ABLE TO REVIEW THE TEAM
ACTIVITIES
1. Feedback on own actions in relation to the overall team activities. I feel that I contributed
more to this task that what I usually do as I felt comfortable working with Steph as a pair
instead of a large group, as I felt she listened to my ideas and we usually work well
together. I think my ideas for the magazine were good and helped Emma understand our
ideas for this magazine, even though we didn’t have to make it. When speaking during the
presentation I feel like I performed well and made me feel confident in delivering my own
presentation for ‘Pitching a media product’.
2. Describe different team members’ contributions. Steph was confident in speaking to me
and we agreed on ideas, we never disagreed as we are friends so it made it easy for both of
us. Steph had good ideas also for the magazine which helped move the project further. She
was confident delivering her ideas during the pitch to Emma
