• Start with the address of the Sender.
• Senders address includes:
• House No: / PB No.
• Street or locality
• State or country (pin code also could be mentioned)
• You must leave online space and write the date
• Day Month year (26 May 2020)
• Leave a line.
• Then,, the address of the Receiver
• Address of the receiver must include :
• Designation of the addressee
• Name of the company
• Name of the locality
• State / country (pin code could also be mentioned)

• The Subject of the letter. Keep it clear and precise, subject should give a clear idea of what you are going to
discuss in the letter
• Add salutation, which is an important part of the letter.
• The main body of the letter.
• Avoid writing long paragraphs, always bifurcate body into 3-4 paragraphs.
• In Para 1, explain yourself also explain the reason behind writing a letter.
• Para 2, explain the inquiry details .
• Para 3 should be a closing one, asking for a response in gentle words. What one would wish the other party to do in the
response letter. This paragraph also should express your gratefulness if they do what you have requested.
• Leave a line - then complementary close - Thanking you
• Subscription – Yours Faithfully
• End by writing your name and designation

4. To be noted
• Letter of enquiry often sent as a response to the
advertisement you have seen in a newspaper or
else where. So you may introduce your letter
mentioning this.
