This document discusses strategies for bringing reluctant faculty to adopt open educational resources (OER). It identifies that faculty are often reluctant due to comfort with traditional methods, lack of time and resources, and unclear outcomes. The document recommends a three step process: 1) Clarify what OER is and how it could help address goals, 2) Motivate faculty both externally through incentives and internally through beliefs in student access and pedagogical improvement, and 3) Support faculty with time, experience sharing opportunities, and student feedback. Institutional supports should include workshops, networking opportunities, and reporting results.
