Learning aims:
During this lesson, learners will be able to…
 To consolidate vocabulary about animals from previous classes;
 To observe and recognize different animals;
 To develop interpersonal skills;
Learning focus:
The activities will focus on:
 Animals in the jungle: elephant, tiger, lion, hippo, monkey, giraffe
 Drawing, painting, imagination and fine motor skills.
Integration of skills:
They will develop their:
- Speaking skills by talking about animals;
- Interpersonal skills by working in groups and sharing material
Multiple intelligences:
- Linguistic intelligence (talking about animals);
- Body-kinesthetic intelligence (imitating an animal);
Materials and resources:
• White paper
• Paint
• Crayons
• Computer
• Flashcards with animals
• ball
• Markers
Possible contingencies:
- Children talking at the same time when teacher asks questions;
- Children getting really loud when the teacher is talking
- Children getting up at the same time to get their pencil cases;
- Children not wanting to seat down and draw/paint;
- Children getting bored of drawing/painting;
- Children wanting to get up and go to other stations
Classroom management strategies:
- Start each activity explaining what it is;
- Using the strategy that already works with them to calm them down: clap clap
clap, in my pocket put the sound, and another song to calm down.
- Call their attention when they are distracted;
Assessment: collecting information and reporting your findings
- Asking questions about the topic;
- Observing children working together;
- Making comments on their work.

▪ Purpose:
- To say Hello.
▪ Timing: 5 minutes
▪ Activity description and instructions as they will be said to students (include
direct speech)
- Hello Children! How are you? Are you happy? Are you sad? They are going to tell
how are they are felling
What is this? A ball!!! What color is the ball?? Black and yellow, all right!
Tell them to say Hello to each other, as they are sitting on their chair, they should
roll the ball to each other, Hello Abril!, and roll the ball to the kid sitting next to her,
Hello teacher!, and all of them will have the same opportunity to say hello to each
other
- Its time to dance!, Please Stand Up and we are going to sing the Hello Song

▪ Purpose:
- To refresh vocabulary about animals .
▪ Timing: 20 minutes
▪ Activity description and instructions as they will be said to students (include
direct speech)
With the teacher Celes, you saw farm animals, remember? And with me you saw
Jungle Animals, I’ll combine them and we are going to play a game! Do you want to
play a game?
Development of the sequence of activities
The teacher will give them some bingo cards, and will them, that we are going to
play BINGO, for that reason, children must be quiet and listen to the teacher who
will reproduce the different sound and when they recognize, they will put a carton
coin on the animal they hear, and the first who scream BINGO, will have a prize.
Scaffolding strategies
- recognize different animal sounds and point them out.
Closure
▪ Purpose:
- To say goodbye.
▪ Timing: 5 minutes

After the song, finishes the students will form a line and wait for the teacher to come
