To use emotions in an intelligent and aware way, developing emotional
skills that can be expressed in:
- personal context (self-awareness', self-confidence, self-mastery …);
- the social sphere (EMPATHY, SOCIAL ABILITY).
METHODS AND TECHNIQUES
Cooperative learning;
Circle time: during the daily meetings with children in which, either
spontaneously or after stimulation gave from teachers, you share issues,
experiences, emotions;
Using various techniques and materials.
ACTIVITY
During situations of routine and in every activities;
Any time of day can provide opportunities for the growth of awareness of
their own emotions (also for teachers).
ASSESSMENT
Observation showed that children with social-emotional skills have
developed more constructive behaviors in the classroom;
In addition, children who have more control and mastery of emotions are
less aggressive, more able to accept others and more accepted by their
peers.
