Teachers must adopt new mindsets for instruction and evaluation to assess essential 21st century skills like solution fluency, information fluency, collaboration fluency, creative fluency, media fluency, and digital citizenship. Creative activities in school should bridge the gap between amateur and professional creators by developing students' abilities in publishing visual content, audio/video recording, and multimedia productions. The use of desktop publishing software and internet platforms like websites, blogs, wikis, podcasts and videos can make writing easier and more exciting for learners while also offering ways to publish creative works. Evaluations must remain relevant and engaging throughout the learning process and for new digital forms of expression.
