This lesson provides guidelines for revising the vocabulary words learned in the course. It groups the nearly 100 words into 19 categories such as pronouns, prepositions, descriptions, and prophets. It encourages remembering an example for each word by recalling instances from daily recitations of the Qur'an. Keywords and commentary are said to help understand meanings and remember messages.

15. 8 . إنّ مَا، لَوْ، ... 905 24081 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 409 قَدْ already قَدْ قَامَتِ الصَّلَوة :: The prayer is already established. - لَ surely إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ Indeed, man is SURELY in loss. - لِ so that لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ so that they ponder its verses and men of understanding receive admonition. 150 يَا، يَاأَيُّهَا O! قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ . ، Say, “O disbelievers!” 200 لَوْ if لَوْ تَفْتَحُ عَمَلُ الشَّيْطَان :: (The word) “If” opens the door of Shaitaan. 146 إِنَّمَا only, but إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّات :: Actions are based only on intentions.

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 57 رَحْمٰن Intensely Merciful بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ . In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful. 40 آخِر ( آخِرَة fg. ) last بِسْمِ اللّهِ فِي أَوَّلِه وَآخِرِه :: In the name of Allah, in its beginning and its ending. 82 أَوَّل ( أُولَىٰ fg. ) first بِسْمِ اللّهِ فِي أَوَّلِه وَآخِرِه :: In the name of Allah, in its beginning and its ending.

Indeed, I have wronged myself with excessive wrongs 97 حَكِيم All-Wise وَالله ُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. 162 عَلِيم All-Knowing وَالله ُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. 91 غَفُور Most forgiving إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُوْرُ الْرَّحِيْمُ :: Indeed You! Alone are the Oft-Forgiving the Most Merciful.

Signs آيات 841 26677 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 310 سَمَاء ( سَمَاوات pl ) sky; heaven يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ Glorfies Allah, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. 461 أَرْض earth يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ Glorfies Allah, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. 70 قُرْآن Qur’an وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ And Indeed, We have made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember.

19. 11 . أ نبياء ، ر ُ س ُ ل 911 27588 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 225 هُود شُعَيْب مُوسَىٰ عِيسَى ابنِ مَرْيَم Hud, Shuaib, Moses, Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon them (Prophets of Allah). 152 لُوط إِسْمَاعِيل يَعْقُوب ( إِسْرَائِيل ) Lut, Ismail, Yaqoub (Israel), peace be upon them (Prophets of Allah). 127 آدَم نُوح إِبْرَاهِيم Adam, Noah, Ibrahim, peace be upon them (Prophets of Allah). 75 نَبِيّ ( نَبِيُّون، نَبِيِّين، أَنْبِيَاء pl ) prophet السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه :: Peace be on you O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. 332 رَسُول ( رُسُل pl ) messenger أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَّسُولُ اللهِ :: I bear witness that Muhammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah.

20. 12. Satan & his followers! 162 27750 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 74 فِرْعَوْن Pharaoh (an Egyptian ruler) - - 88 شَيْطَان ( شَيَاطِين pl ) Shaitaan, Satan أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيم I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the outcast.

21. 3 1. آخر ة 1199 28949 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 393 يَوْم ( أَيَّام pl ) day مٰلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ . Master of the day of Judgment. 145 نَار fire رَبَّنَآ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ . O our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the hereafter and protect us from the Fire. 322 عَذَاب torment, penalty, doom رَبَّنَآ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ . O our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the hereafter and protect us from the Fire. 77 جَهَنَّم Hell - - 147 جَنَّة ( جَنَّات pl ) الْجَنَّة Garden; The garden - - 115 الْآخِرَة The hereafter رَبَّنَآ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً O our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the hereafter

22. 14. Creed, etc. 3170 32119 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 247 حَقّ truth ... وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ and advised each other to the truth, and advised each other to the patience. 88 مَلَك ( مَلاَئِكَة pl ) angel مَلَكُ الْمَوْت :: The angel of death. 261 كِتَاب ( كُتُب pl ) book كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ ... This is a Book, We have revealed it to you, full of blessings… 34 إِلـٰـهَ ( آلِهَة pl ) god لاَ إِلـٰـهَ إِلاَّ الله There is no god except Allah 85 أَحَد ( إِحْدَىٰ fg ) One; any one قُلْ هُوَ الله ُ أَحَدٌ، ... وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّه ، كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ . Say, “He (is) Allah the One.”; … And there is none comparable to Him. 2702 الله ( اَللّهُمَّ ) Allah (O Allah) قُلْ هُوَ الله ُ أَحَدٌ Say, “He (is) Allah the One.”

23. 5 1. دين ... 766 32885 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 186 خَيْر good, better اَلصَّلَوةُ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ النَّوْم :: The prayer is better than sleep. 31 حَسَنَة ( حَسَنَات pl ) good رَبَّنَآ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ . O our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the hereafter and protect us from the Fire. 84 فَضْل grace, bounty هذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّي This is from the grace of my Lord. 83 صَلاَة prayer الصَّلاَةُ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ النَّوْم :: The prayer is better than sleep. 92 دِين system of life; judgment مٰلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ . ، لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ . Master of the day of Judgment. ; To you be your religion and to me my religion. 43 حَمْد praise, thanks الْحَمْدُ للّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ . All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

There is no deity for you except Him. 248 نَاس people, makind قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ . مَلِكِ النَّاسِ . إِلـٰـهَ النَّاسِ . Say, “I seek refuge of in the Lord mankind, The King of Mankind, The God of Mankind ” 65 اِنْسَان human being إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ . إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ ... Indeed, man is surely in loss. 126 عَبْد ( عِبَاد pl ) slave اَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُه وَرَسُوْلُه ، :: I bear witness that Muhammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah. 293 نَفْس ( أَنْفُس pl ) soul اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّيْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ ظُلْمًا كَثِيْرًا :: O Allah! Indeed, I have wronged myself with excessive wrongs.

25. 7 1. دنيا، ... 496 34496 DPPR Ask Evaluate Plan Propagate Understand I+G Check 86 مَال ( أَمْوَال pl ) wealth, money وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ And strive with your wealth and your selves in the path of Allah. 73 عَالَم ( عَالَمِين pl ) world الْحَمْدُ للّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 46 صِرَاط path, way صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِمْ The path of those You bestowed favors on 176 سَبِيل ( سُبُل pl ) path, way وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ And strive with your wealth and your selves in the path of Allah. 115 دُنْيَا world رَبَّنَآ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ O our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the hereafter and protect us from the Fire.
