WANTED:Bright young person to work in our Promotion and Marketing Department to create a campaign
for the release of our new game, Lost in the Maze of Time.
We are an independent games development company and have a fantastic new game that we are hoping
to get published. As well as helping us to promote and market this game, we are also going to need help
developing our online identity.
Our game is about time travel and features either a male or female character who has got lost in time and
needs to find out in which time period they belong. The character will have various challenges and puzzles
to complete in different historical periods in order to complete the game. The historical periods will
include Stone Age Britain, Tudor England, Victorian England, Germany 1934 (rise of fascism), 9/11 and
3030 (future). The aim of the game is to help inform gamers of these historical periods while they are
having fun playing the game. We are hoping to promote this game to a mass audience, male and female
above the age of 13.
However, we are a little concerned about recent media controversy regarding violence in video games. We
would also require you to look into this matter for us, to ensure that we do not promote violence within
our game.
It will be available on mobile and console devices. As we have not yet entered the mobile market, we
would like advice on the best way of marketing and promoting using social networking. We will also
require help in developing a dedicated home page for our game.
You have to work quickly, effectively and creatively to plan the promotion and marketing campaign within
four weeks, whereupon we will give you four tasks to complete to see if you are suitable for the job.
