LEGROUP Process followed for defining in ESP
Starting Off Every partner of legroup searched one topic in wikipedia in order to edit it. Chris found one topic concerning robots, but Rafael thought that there was too much information about it. Then, Mónica found an article talking about the television and everybody agreed. We thought that it would be very interesting to complete it, adding up some new information concerning the latest technologies.
Gathering Information Since Eduardo was icorporated to Legroup, we began to look up information about the topic we wanted to write. As it was specified in the study guide, we read the hole article publicated on wikipedia, in order to not repeat anything. Then, we recopilated the information, images and videos we found interesting.
Beginning the article Once we had all the information, we began discarding what we thought wasn’t useful, such as some pictures and information that didn’t focus on our subject. Then, we were ready to start writing the text.
Writing the text We wrote the text, and this was the result : Ever since then, electronics have been fully present in television devices. Nowadays, electronics in television have evolved to be the basics of almost every component inside TV’s. One of the latest and most advance technologies in TV screens/displays has to do entirely with electronics principles, and it’s the LED (light emitting diode) displays, and it’s most likely to replace LCD and Plasma technologies.
Second text As Guzman told us, we were suggested to write another text, since we had a new group partner. We decided to write about something new, something that nobody had ever written before in the wikipedia: the Isolation Amplifier
Creating the article We scanned again the web, searching everything concerning isolation amplifiers. We also had to scan everything that we had studied before related to amplifiers. Once we had all the information, we began writing the hole article.
Isolation Amplifiers (1) Isolation amplifiers provide electrical isolation and an electrical safety barrier. They protect data-acquisition components from potentially destructive voltages present at remote transducers. These amplifiers are also useful when you need to amplify low-level signals in multi-channel applications. They can also eliminate measurement errors caused by ground loops. Amplifiers with internal transformers reduce circuit costs by eliminating the need for additional isolated power supply. We usually use them as analogue interfaces between systems with separated grounds.
Isolation Amplifiers (2) There are two types: - Two ports: • When the DC/DC is not integrated. • When there are two isolated parts. - Three ports: • When the DC/DC is integrated. • The parts are isolated between them. In most applications, an output voltage is obtained by passing the output current through a resistor. Other possible applications: • Floating pulse amplifier output voltage and current interface. • Instrumentation in high-noise environments. • Analogue front-end processing. • Medical instrumentation.
