Left Versus Right Brain And The Impacts Learning Human brain has two hemispheres with different
function and each has an impact in human learning. The left hemisphere The element of human
linear reasoning and language is performed by the left hemisphere. This means that it is the part of
the brain responsible for things as grammar and vocabulary (Kalat, 2009). With linear reasoning,
this simply gives an added advantage of numerical computation to the persons with the left brain
part being dominant (angelfire, 2011). The difference in students' ability to solve mathematical
calculations is visible as students with dominant left hemisphere are associated with accurate and
precise calculations when it comes to solving calculation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is a problem for such students to extract direct facts on what they have learnt. This is because their
reasoning is random and intuitive which makes them follow instance thoughts compared to the left
brain dominant persons who have logical and rational thinking.Due to their spatial manipulations,
such persons are good in analysing three dimensional forms and volumes. This means that in class,
such persons prefer instructions that are visual and those with examples for them to view the form as
a whole. Subjectivity is their form of thinking (Paradiso, Bears & Connors, 2007). They value
their views, desires, feelings, inventions, and beliefs as compared to those from and objective
perspective and score best in practices requiring personal opinions and perspectives. In arguments
and discussions, they value their standpoints and are willing to defend it at all cost.During analysis
and evaluation of a given concept, the right hemisphere dominant persons look at thing as wholes
and not parts. These holistic syntheses of objects contribute to their visual and auditory perceptions
(Paradiso, Bears & Connors, 2007). It is also a contributing factor in the ability to view facial
perceptions. In language, individuals with right hemisphere dominance are practical, with
inclination to tones and emphasis. This factor makes such persons to possess strong musical and art
awareness. Compared to the

3. Left Versus Right Brain and Learning Essay
Each person has a governing hemisphere and once learning becomes a technical process, the idyllic
portion of the brain takes charge of solving the issue at hand. There are two sides of the brain, which
are the left and the right brain. These directly influence learning and produce different ways of
receiving, storing and responding to information that ultimately affects our whole learning process.
Even though the learning process improves as a result of the two hemispheres functioning together,
human beings are expected to process information based on their dominant hemisphere. This means
that we should strengthen our less dominate hemisphere of the brain to properly absorb new
meanings and enhance new neural circuits to create ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The positive effects on the left side brain learners are they can easily and quickly evoke names
rather than appearances. Left sided learners are also highly systematized and have great time
management skills. They also enjoy creating lists to organize their plans in their day to day activites
(Lucas, 2008). Left brainers are more likely to thrive in certain careers such as; computer
programmers, accounting firms, engineering plants and numerous more technical career fields.
People who are left brain dominate are more sequential where on the other hand, people who are
right brain dominate are more visual learners. For instance, instead of workbook learning they perfer
projects and discussions (Education Alliance, 2014). The main focus of the right brain is visual,
which means they process information in an expressive way and they like to show creativity in their
work (Cherry, 2014). People who are dominate in their right brain prefer to learn by visually
grasping the whole picture first, and then eyeing at the specifics later on. Where as left brained
people would pay more attention to detail first. Students with a right brain dominance should
integrate a number of hands on activities, which will help with learning the assignment (Education
Alliance, 2014). They also should write words down or use drawings to help them visually recollect
facts to help them retain information. These students favor perceiveing how a

5. Angel: A Fictional Narrative
He knew that there was a connection between them, just like the connection between Michael and
him. He knew that it was because they were twins, Gabriel being the first thing that Michael ever
knew. It made sense that he could connect with Gabriel in the same way that he did with Michael.
They were two parts of the same coin.
There were things that Gabriel understood more than Michael. Gabriel felt the loss of their father
more deeply than any other angel Alex had ever encountered. The war that he started was his way of
trying to tempt his father's attention. There were times that Alex looked at Gabriel and wanted to tell
him what the markings were saying, but he couldn't trust him. He couldn't trust him and with
Michael gone, Alex didn't know who to trust.

He looked up to see that Gabriel had entered his room, or his cell. Alex offered a smirk.
"You act like you're not, but we both know that isn't true." Alex shot back. The look on Gabriel's
face was enough to warrant whatever displeasure he had just earned himself.
"I don't deny it." Gabriel answered before sitting down on the cot that had been provided for Alex's
comfort. Alex kept his guard up, unsure of why Gabriel had decided to join him today. The answer
soon follows, "You're still angry with my brother."
Alex didn't reply. It was the truth. He felt a deep soul wrenching anger towards Michael at the
moment, worse than anything he had ever felt towards Gabriel. Michael had abandoned him in the
most dangerous place they could be. The dangers in Vega were more pronounced than the dangers of
the aerie. Alex knew what he was getting into when he sought out Gabriel. Michael didn't care. He
had just vanished and left Alex to clean up his mess. All those broken and bleeding bodies with little
explanation than the archangel had finally snapped.
"I am angry about a lot of things." Alex chose to reply. Gabriel

7. Biblical Allusion During The Romantic Age
Biblical allusion during the Romantic Age was not uncommon. Because Biblical images and
references were in the minds of most Romantic readers, a poet would often use this strategy to
contextualize an assertion being made. Wordsworth is no different. However, the level to which he
uses this technique within his poetry fluctuates. The Ruined Cottage only contains two obvious
examples, while Michael is rich with Biblical imagery and allusion. Because of this difference, the
Biblical allusion within the two poems will be discussed within three categories–those which are
concerned with a connection to nature, those which inspire the hope of salvation, and those which
deal with the creation and deterioration of covenants. Delving first into ... Show more content on

She is presented as greedy and neglectful of the inherent spirituality in things, and possibly had false
intentions behind sending Luke away. It seems this is a warning from Wordsworth. It is also
valuable to note that Michael's troubles begin when his nephew defaults on a loan. However, the
poem never labels him as nephew but instead, "his brother's son" (211). If Michael's name is meant
to conjure the name of the archangel Michael, it can't be ignored that one of the brothers of that
archangel is Satan. Viewing the name this way creates a parallel which makes Michael's nephew a
quasi–son of evil. Because of the nephew's "industrious life" (212), he is disconnected from the land
and therefore amoral. With these instances of naming, Wordsworth seems to be commenting on how
morality is connected to living life by means of nature rather than by means of material or industry.
Turning now to allusions that inspire hope, we look towards Robert's Sunday clothes in The Ruined
Cottage. "Still in its place. His Sunday garments hung / Upon the self–same nail, his very staff /
Stood undisturbed behind the door" (432–34). The garments that are hung up, are not just regular
clothes, but his Sunday garments. This small detail gives the image it's religious tone. Continuing,
the word staff certainly alludes to the staff of Moses in the bible, who is known for

In acknowledging the stated above we replicated a study developed by mead & Hampson
(1996) involving the divided visual field paradigm and a phonological rhyme/non–rhyme task to test
the speed and accurateness of either side of the brain. The results of this study show us the brain is
not in fact symmetrical and the two hemispheres in the brain work in different ways. The left
hemisphere is known to play the dominant role, which is in control of all complex behavioural and
cognitive processes as for the right hemisphere it only plays a minor role. This report will further
analyse how different the two hemisphers is the dominant side of the brain. Method Participants
There were a total of 30 participants insisting of 15 females and 15 males who are currently student

Left brain individuals prefer to work alone on projects because they are able to generalize things
more rather than be in a group setting where they have too many ideas going around. They also tend
to want to read independently and they put more research into their papers. Many people and
researchers believe that the left brain and the right brain dominance theory are myths. Each side of
the brain controls different types of thinking many are said that if your left brained your more
logical, analytical and objective. If you're right brained your more intuitive, thoughtful and
subjective. After many researches the brain is not split into thinking halves as people think they say
that the brain works better if it thinks together. Neuroscientist know that the brain works together to
perform a wide variety of tasks and they communicate through the corpus callosum, which is a
wide, flat bundle of neural fibers beneath the left and right cerebral hemispheres and facilitates the
communication. The research of the left, right brain dominance is very much outdated; it's more of a
historical interest. This in saying the myth is that right– handed people are left brain dominance and
left– handed people are right brain dominance. Klingberg, T (2008) notes, "The working research of

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Psychology, the study of behavior and mind, serves an
important role in everyone's lives. Many people made great discoveries that changed the field of
psychology forever, and those people deserve recognition for their groundbreaking findings. One
psychologist who improved lives and made a major discovery is Dr. Michael Gazzaniga. For his
achievements, he deserves a spot in the Psychology Hall of Fame. First of all, his research shows
how the brain enables the mind and behavior. He is responsible, with the help of Roger Sperry, for
initiating the human split–brain research where he cut the corpus callosum, the tissue connecting the
two hemispheres of the brain. The left hemisphere deals with language and speech ... Show more

They also have trouble learning to perform new tasks that require interdependent movement of each
hand, like playing the piano. This finding helped conclude that the corpus callosum helps in transfer
of information and it is the co–ordination between the two hemispheres that lets us perform
activities smoothly. The split of the two hemispheres ultimately made it so you cannot access
information the other side of the brain controls. Now, Gazzaniga works at University of California,
Santa Barbara teaching psychology so he can pass on knowledge to his students. Gazzaniga and his
team of researchers are testing information transfer using a MEG, which maps the brain activity by
recording magnetic fields produced by electrical currents in the brain. Unlike split–brain surgery
these techniques are non–invasive. He has made many books explaining his work and making
information about brain function more accessible to the public. Gazzaniga deserves to be in the Hall
of Fame due to his amazing contribution to psychology, his continued efforts in the field, and his

Angels
An angel is a pure spirit created by God. The Old Testament theology included the belief in angels:
the name applied to certain spiritual beings or intelligences of heavenly residence, employed by God
as the ministers of His will.
HISTORY
Are Angels ambassadors sent from God to guide us, protect us or bring messages from heaven? The
word angel comes from the Greek word "angelos" which means messenger. The Bible says that God
has appointed many angels to those who love God and call to Him, "Psalms 91:11 For He shall give
His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways." The bible refers to different types of
angels, with varying duties such as ugides, protectors, messengers and angels of the Lord, or as ...

Dionysius, a 5th or 6th century writer gives us the hierarchical order of the angels. The first group is
the seraphim, cherubim and thrones. The word seraphim (singular is saraph) is taken from the fiery
imagery often associated with the Presence of God–– Ezek. 1:27. Cherubim are represented as
guardians with many wings. Thrones have been depicted wearing stoles and kneeling before God
Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he

So He drove out the man; and placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming
sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life". Gen. 3:24
The 2nd group is composed of dominations, virtues and powers. Each group is associated with
specific symbols. The dominations held scepters and wore crowns. The virtues are shown with
flasks of perfume, trumpets, and rays of lightening. The powers are depicted wielding flaming

One Brain or Two?
Numerous researches and experiments have been done based on whether the human being possess
one brain divided into two parts (left and right hemisphere) or whether we have two different brains
working together. The psychologist Roger W. Sperry was the first on research this topic with some
experiments on animals. Then, he later started working with Michael Gazzaniga. They were able to
find split–brain patients. Those patients had their brain split as way of reducing or stopping
uncontrollable epilepsy. Many agreed to participate in the experiments. The experiments that they
held focused on finding out what kind of limitations would each brain have if they operated
independently, how the 5 senses ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, it was not the same story with the left hands of the patients (connected to the right
hemisphere). They could match and point at the objects without problem; proving again the lack of
speech ability that the right hemisphere has. The other test held was an auditory test. The test was
done in two different ways. One way was finding the objects in a bag that were mentioned verbally
and the other was identifying the item reached by touch. This test's results were also supporting the
previous researchers' logical conclusion about the left hemisphere ability of speech. It confirmed the
right hemisphere's ability of comprehending language and its ability of expressing it in a nonverbal
way. During the test, evidently, the right hemisphere had no trouble identifying the unknown objects
by touch as the left hemisphere did. Moreover, some three– dimensional drawings of the slit–brain
patients, who were all right handed, developed much better drawings using their left hands
compared with their right hands. Those three types of tests were combined to make new tests. But
the results are all similar to the ones mentioned before. These amazing findings get us to the
conclusion that we possess two different brains with different abilities and behaviors. Gazzaniga
emphasizes the possibility of doubling the brain's performance by separating both halves. In other
words, to put each brain half to

19. History of Biblical Angels
History of Biblical Angels Throughout history, you will find many religions discuss angels. But
what is an angel? Is it a mythical creature with wings sent to protect you? Some may think so; others
have different thoughts on the matter. But when did talk of angels first occur? Have they always
been around? In this paper, I will attempt to define what an angel is and what they do. I will also
discuss how angels differ between religions, as well as try to pinpoint the origin of angels. I will
explain the similarities and differences between these religions and their ideas of angels. The term
angel is derived from the Greek word angelos , meaning "messenger." This word represents an
earlier Hebrew word, mal'akh that is also interpreted as the role of messenger or minister. It is safe
to say that many people will regard angels as messengers between Heaven and earth. In many
biblical stories, angels are sending messages. Some messages are announcements of birth like the
ones that were sent to Abraham and to Samson's father. Other messages encourage actions as the
ones did to Elijah and David. In these cases, angels were bringing messages from the divine world,
or Heaven, to men and women in the earthly human world. It is believed that the messages with
angels also work in the reversed sense as well; meaning from human being to angel to God. It is said
that 'the soul speaks to the angel, the angel to the cherub, the cherub to God.' This type of
communication would explain the

21. Storytelling and Its Relevance
Storytelling and its relevance
Storytelling is, as a concept, built upon the fundamental question of why. From the dawn of
civilization to the marketing activities of a silicon–valley technology company, the success of every
endeavor in between can be traced to the resolution of this fundamental question. "Storytelling is
one of the few human traits that are truly universal across culture and through all of known history,"
writes Jeremy Hsu for Scientific American . "Anthropologists find evidence of folktales everywhere
in ancient cultures, written in Sanskrit, Latin, Greek, Chinese, Egyptian and Sumerian. People in
societies of all types weave narratives, from oral storytellers in hunter–gatherer tribes to the millions
of writers churning out books, television shows and movies."
In his book The Triumph of Narrative, Robert Fulford writes about the historical significance of
narratives and their impact on culture through time and generations. When ancient man's crop failed,
for example, he wanted to know why. To the non–scientific mind, the most compelling explanations
arose in the form of religion; crops failed because the gods were unhappy and required tribute. The
power of these stories, as mentioned, lies in the fact that on some level in the consciousness of the
audience they make sense – they resolve the question of why and provide explanation for the
happenings around the brain. "The story–from Rapunzel to War and Peace–is one of the basic tools
invented by the

Gabriel "Gabby" Messinger, a Guardian Angel who has trouble following the rules and is known for

find its Christmas spirit again.
First of all, I want to say that this film surpassed all my expectations. Sometimes, I am hesitant
when it comes to "angel films," but because of who the three stars are (and especially because of the
male lead), I was determined to give this film a chance. Furthermore, it is airing on Hallmark, and
how could I not watch it? If you are looking for a film that follows the Scriptural teachings of
angels, this might not be for you. I could speak to all the reasons why the theology of the movie is
unsound, but that is not why I watched this film. The film is so uncommonly well–written and acted
with such depth that I could care less about whether the story could ever happen or not. The values
of the film are intact, and if nothing else, I applaud Hallmark for emphasizing the concept of "free
will" (something most Christians and church people esteem) and including the Lord's Prayer (how
often do we see that on network TV?). I did not plan on becoming emotional during this movie, but
I literally spent the last twenty minutes or so crying off and on because the story was remarkably
poignant (and I wasn't certain how it would end) and the three main actors––Rachel Boston, Paul

27. My Psychology Course And Remembered About The Cerebral...
I decided to write my literature after going through one of the textbooks in my physiological
psychology course and remembered about the cerebral hemispheres, which receives sensory
information from opposite sides of the body. This got interested in the topic of cerebral hemispheres
and sensory information after a split brain operation. The split brain procedure is a surgical
operation that's used for people that have severe epilepsy that can't be controlled by the drugs they
take. In the brains of people with severe epilepsy, the nerve cells on one side of the brain are
overactive and the overactivity is relayed to the other side by the corpus callosum, a bundle of nerve
cells that connect certain parts of one side of the brain to the other. The corpus callosum enables the
left and right side of the brain to share information so that both sides knows what the other is doing
and perceiving. Both sides of the brain engage in out of control activity that stimulate each other,
causing stereotypical seizures that recur throughout the day preventing the person from living a
normal life. Neurosurgeons have discovered that severing the corpus callosum greatly reduces the
often recurring seizures.
After the brain split procedure, the brain is divided into two hemispheres that work independently of
each other. Their sensory mechanisms, and motor systems no longer relay information. To the casual
observer they disconnection isn't obvious for the elementary reason that one hemisphere–

St. Michael is positioned perfectly upright with a majestic look as he is holding a sword away from
his body horizontally with both hands. His body is covered with a golden body suit of armor except
for his head, which is turned toward Joan and has a full halo behind it. Margaret and Catherine are
both wearing white silky and flowing veils on their heads. There are white flowers in their hair, and
both have golden circles over their heads as halos. Their dresses are also flowing and painted with
light pink and blue. Margaret is positioned upright, her hands clasped by her chest, and her head to
the side looking towards Joan, while Catherine is bent over with her head facing down and both
hands over her face.
Bastien–Lepage showed his ability for capturing the naturalistic look of Joan, but he did not use this
ability to its full extent with the saints. The colors used on the saints are not quite as vivid as with
Joan. Michael's golden body armor and silver sword are not really shining at all, and all three halos
seem to be placed there without any real signs of glowing. The shadowing and detail work in their
clothing and skin are also not quite as life like as Joan. All together the three images of these saints

When the crate arrived, Michelle knew her precious artwork survived the auction block. Mike had
bought her story–––how it tore at her soul to sell the pieces. It would be akin to brushing away
chunks of her life, erasing it as if it never existed, she told him. She didn't lie. It would kill her to
sell them. She'd only receive half the proceeds. Besides, Mike, now bent on expunging all memories
of their marriage, expeditiously liquidated their past at fire sale prices. His previous groveling,
begging for counseling, anything to repair their marriage, now gone. Michelle knew he'd sell the
artwork for a fraction of its worth. Now, with their arrival, she was set. She'd thrive, not rot in the
peasant class where she'd been banished. Michelle created her sales plan as she opened the crate.
First, contact the most prestigious auction house to sell the pieces. Next, deposit the money in an
over–seas account Mike could never find. Last, leave the stinking hole she called home for twenty
years. Screw them. They don't need her? She didn't need them. She pried open the crate and lifted
out a painting. As the packing peanuts floated to the floor around her in an abstract pattern, Michelle
looked stupefied at the painting. This is the result of her soul baring? A family portrait? She stared at
her younger self, holding Cole, while Michaela and Mackenzie rest their arms on Mike's shoulders.

33. Georges Seurat 's A Sunday Morning On The Island Of La...
Three weeks ago I visited the Art Institute of Chicago. It was established in 1879 and has since

chose this site is that I read that it displayed Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of
La Grande Jatte, and I wanted to see it in person because it is so iconic. While at the Art Institute of
Chicago, I spent most of my time in "The Elizabeth Hammond Stickney Gallery". There were three
pieces in this gallery: Saint Michael and the Devil, The Birth of Saint John the Baptist, and Saint
George Killing the Dragon. Each piece was made in the Renaissance period in Europe in the
fifteenth to sixteenth centuries. I believe the main reason these pieces are grouped together is that
they all contain a depiction of a saint. Another reason for this arrangement is that all these paintings
all represent the survival of holy figures and the death of the evil ones. This is shown in each piece
by either a saint killing an evil creature or the birth of a holy saint. The piece I will analyze from the
previously mentioned gallery is Saint George Killing the Dragon by Bernat Martorell which was
made in 1434/35. This piece is a painting made on a support of panel with a media of tempera and
stucco. The main subject of the painting is a man wearing armor on a white horse. The man on the

starts, not really anyways. My name is Nadie Luccius and I am the one and only angel to tear off his
wings and plunge down to Earth all for the sake of being human. This is the story of the war
between humans and angels and it started one year ago.
The angel Nadie walked on the path of heaven being blamed for the misfortune in the battle against
demons, after all every place needs a pariah to take the blame, even heaven. The angel looked down
at Earth and looked at the humans marveling at their complexity, their weakness, and their strength.
Nadie couldn 't help but to marvel at them. Most angels saw the humans as weak hairless apes, but
Nadie loved them. Most of all he wanted to be one.
The angels liked to refer to Nadie as the next Lucifer, but he was the exact opposite. Lucifer was
cast down to hell because he could not love humans more than God, and therefor defied his father.

37. Left versus Right Brain and Learning
Left versus Right Brain and Learning Each person has a governing hemisphere and once learning
becomes a technical process, the idyllic portion of the brain takes charge of solving the issue at
hand. There are two sides of the brain, which directly influence learning and produce different ways
of receiving, storing and responding to information which ultimately affects our whole learning
process. The cerebral cortex is broken down into two hemispheres, left and right, with it being home
to the functions that make us human (Lucas, 2008). Human beings are expected to process
information based on their dominant hemisphere, even though the learning process improves as a
result of the two hemispheres functioning together. This means that we ... Show more content on

Most significantly, the left–brain is often described as being better at: language, logic, critical
thinking, numbers, and reasoning (Cherry, 2014). The positive effects of the left sided brain learners
are that they can easily and quickly evoke names rather than appearances and express with very few
gestures thus evolving much more robust communication patterns. Left sided learners are also
highly systematized and and have great time management skills and enjoy creating lists to plot out
plans day to day. Left brainers are more likely to thrive in certain careers such as; computer
programmers, accounting firms, engineering plants and many more technical career fields.
Furthermore, the right brain impacts learning by concurrent hemispheric style, which is deliberated
as being global. The main focus of the right brain is visual, which means they process information in
an expressive way and like to show creativity in their work (Cherry, 2014). Right brain learners
prefer to learn by visually seeing the whole picture first, and then eyeing at the specifics after that.
They will also develop information in a sequential format, starting with details leading up to a
intangible understanding of the skill at hand. This generally means it impacts learning by beginning
with the overall theory and then going on to details. Students with a right brain dominance should
integrate a number of hands on activities, which will help with learning the assignment (Education

39. Book Of Gabriel Research Paper
Gabriel
Gabriel is an angel who serves as a messenger for God to certain people. He is one of the three
archangels. Gabriel is mentioned in both the Old and the New Testaments of the Bible. First, in the
Old Testament, Gabriel appears to the prophet Daniel to explain his visions. Gabriel is described as,
"one who looked like man," as he interprets Daniel's visions. He speaks to Daniel while he is
sleeping. After Gabriel's first visit, Daniel becomes tired and sick for days. Gabriel later visits
Daniel again providing him with more insight and understanding in an answered prayer.
In the New Testament, Gabriel, described as "an angel of the Lord," first appears to Zacharias, the
father of John the Baptist. He tells him, "Fear not, Zacharias: ... Show more content on

told Mary she would conceive from The Holy Spirit and the baby will be the Son of God.
After the Annunciation of Mary, Gabriel is not spoken of again.
Gabriel's attributes are the Archangel, he is clothed in blue or white, and is seen carrying a lily, a
trumpet, a shining lantern, a branch from Paradise, a scroll or a scepter. In art, Gabriel is most

He is occasionally cited as the one who blows God's trumpet to indicate the Lord's return to Earth.
However, the person designated with this task varies; different passages cite different people. The
earliest known identification of Gabriel as the trumpet holder comes in 1455 represented in
Byzantine art.
Gabriel is recognized as the patron saint of messengers, telecommunication workers, and postal

41. John Milton 's Paradise Lost
A few years prior to writing Paradise Lost, John Milton lost his vision. In fact, Milton does not hide
the reality that his "eyes, that roll in vain...find no dawn"(Paradise Lost, 3.22–23). The light that
Milton refers to, however, is not just physical, but it is also spiritual. There is a third type of
blindness that Milton addresses, blindness from knowledge. Milton is concerned with this form of
blindness in a number of works, perhaps most notably Areopagitica. The acquisition of knowledge
plays a vital role in Paradise Lost: the fall of Adam and Even relies on their attainment of
knowledge; the decision to eat the fruit is blasphemous because Adam and Eve know that it is
forbidden to them; Adam embarks on an educational mission as he asks Raphael questions in an
attempt to gain more knowledge about the world around him. However, not all knowledge can be
attained by Adam and Eve, which complicates the justice of the fall. As John Milton explores the
nature of knowledge in Paradise Lost, the validity and visibility of this knowledge lead Adam and
Eve to an unjust fall. With the exception of God, knowledge is limited for all the characters in the
text. When Adam asks Raphael a number of questions concerning his creation and his duties
towards God, Raphael readily answers. However, when Adam inquiries about the cosmological
universe, Raphael provides an answer but quickly reminds Adam that this knowledge "from Man or

43. Essay Juggling
A Princeton researcher, Les Fehme (Brain/Mind Bulletin vol. 8, no. 9. May 1983), suggest we can
optimize our overall performance in life by broadening our focus. Juggling is one excellent way to
do that. He claims most people have a narrow focus, a lack of awareness of their own body
sensations or emotions. This narrow focus can be very absorbing and useful, as when talking on the
telephone, driving a motorcycle or getting a massage. It is as if nothing else exists except that. When
learning how to juggling, the narrow focus can be directed at a certain ball or pin. This narrow focus
agrees with observations that we live in a society which sees things as fragments rather than holistic.
But things are changing. And just maybe, juggling is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only that, but according to a test performed at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, lefties
scored higher in creativity than right–handers regardless of age. It went on to explain four aspects of
creativity –– flexibility, fluency, originality and elaboration.
Since the right hemisphere is normally associated with creativity, then any activity which helps to
awaken this suppressed hemisphere is certainly welcome. Enter juggling. Who could argue juggling
does not use both sides of the brain? Both hands are used in juggling, aren't they? If an
accomplished juggler now wants to learn a new trick, once again the focus must become narrow, the
ball or pin must capture the attention (enter left–brain activity). Like a beginning new juggler, he or
she must focus on throwing a double flip with the right hand before the left hand can throw a pin
behind the back.
In teaching people to juggle, they learn faster when asked to tell each time they have done
something wrong. At first, they have no awareness of wrong movements. Once they recognize them,
they can eliminate them. Therefore it is essential to practice in order to learn juggling. The simplest
movement requires complex electrical/chemical circuitry within the brain. The study of this circuitry
is fast becoming an important field of neuroscience. Perhaps someday neurosurgeons will
electronically "hook up" a juggler and a monitor and the neuron action, which travels back and forth
between the two hemispheres

55. Michael Is The Savior Jesus Christ In Revelation12 : 12-12...
Revelation 12:7–9 is a vision seen by John that speaks about the war that will occur in heaven. The
passage says,"Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and
the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in
heaven. The great dragon was hurled down―that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who
leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." The passage
begins by stating that there will be a war in heaven, one between Michael and Satan. Michael is
God's archangel whose name means "one like God". This leads to the possibility that Michael is
Jesus Christ. Jesus has a nature "like God" and can be argued that the word "archangel" might mean
not "ruling angel" but "the ruler of the angels." Add to the fact that the word archangel is never used
in the plural... "(Becker). These facts are strong evidence that Michael is the savior Jesus Christ.
Satan is the dragon that is referred to in the text. The dragon is not specifically described in this
particular passage, but earlier in the chapter there is a glimpse as to what he looked like. According
to Revelation 12:3, "...a great red dragon having seven heads ten horns, and on his head were seven
diadems." The dragon is red to symbolize that it is evil and the horns symbolize its great power.

Every year, on the colorful fall day of September 29th, Sacramento Waldorf School hosts a festival
where good triumphs and evil parishes. Young girls and boys eagerly dress up as knights, to help
Saint George and Saint Michael conquer and tame the malicious dragon, through good actions and
deeds. Along with fun activities, caramel apples, and motivating spirit, Michaelmas is a special way
to prepare students for the challenging academic year ahead.
Michaelmas is a whole school event, where grades first through twelve are assigned a different role,
to put on a show that has its own unique twist each time. The roles include villagers (played by first
through fourth grade), Knights (played by the fifth grade) the dragon (Played by the sixth grade),
Lords and nobles (played by seventh through eleventh grade) and lastly, Saint George and Saint
Michael (played by twelfth graders). The story told is a classic good vs. evil, preformed inside a
giant circle, created by everyone attending the festival. A town of poor villages are fearful of a
dragon, who is merciless and cruel. One day, the dragon attacks the village, leaving the villagers
desperate and frightened. All the noble knights flee in fear, except for one, Saint George. Saint
George bravely faces the dragon, but instead of using his sword, he kneels and prays to saint
Michael to give him wisdom and strength. Michael appears out of the heavens, and empowers Saint
George, with courage, and kindness. Saint George

of Arc was and still is an inspiration to everyone. By her early life she is recodnized, end of life, and
by how she influences the world today. Joan of Arc was a great leader and woman. Jeanne d'Arc, or
Joan of Arc in English, was born in 1412 in Domrémy, France while they were at war with England.
Of a poor farmer named Jacques d'Arc she was the daughter and her mother Isabelle or Romée. Her
mother taught her how to work at home and on the farm. About God and the Catholic Church she
only ever learned. When she hit the age of thirteen, she started hearing voices and having visions. In
a few of her visions were Saint Michael and Saint Catherine. To help fight for France against the
English she believed that they were all telling her. At sixteen years of age, she was forced into a
marriage by her father after taking a vow of chastity, so she went to the court and they said that she
would not be compelled to marry. Joan of Arc was an extremely stubborn and strong willed woman
from an early age who would do what she thought was right and what needed to be done. (Joan of
Arc) In the late spring of 1428 Joan of Arc went off to fight in the war. "The virgin who was

61. What Is The Scale Of Nature In Paradise Lost
Carly Merryman ENGL 328 Stoll 3 October 2014 Paradise Lost: Books V & VI Milton's scale of
nature, while appearing linear, allows the creatures within in it to "ascend to God" by "steps,"
(V.512). This creates a dynamic scale that would enable a particular being the ability to move up and
down the scale based on its behaviors, and align itself closer to God. However, an animal or a
human can only climb so far. No matter how virtuous an animal was it could never surpass a human
because it is lacking the spiritual essence that God awarded to man. Similarly, a human, while
living, could never attain the same closeness to God as an angel. So while this allows for some
degree of mobility, each sect of the scale is confined within the parameters that God set forth. If the
creation was "one first matter all" as Raphael says to Adam then that would mean that all matter
came from God. Not only does this reconcile science and religious beliefs because as Newton's First
Law says, "Matter can neither be created nor destroyed," but it also asserts that all matter begins as
being inherently good. This explanation disqualifies ex nihlo because as science says there can be no
absolute nothing. Milton's attempts to resolve the religion versus science issues are made stronger
by his references to Galileo and astronomy. But Milton's version of the creation tackles the problem
of absolute nothingness. If there were absolute nothingness before matter, then that nothingness
would have had to

65. Analysis Of John Milton 's ' Paradise Lost '
In his epic, Paradise Lost, Milton entertains the reader with his version of how one of the greatest
falls of humanity occurred. Although many would consider God or Adam and Eve as the main
characters in a story like this, the main character of this epic is truly Satan. Satan is shown as a
strong and powerful character who is completely overwhelmed with emotions which create a type of
hell in his mind; even when he is in heaven, he cannot escape his true life. Satan's desire for
vengeance on God's creation not only unveils the personality of the protagonist but it also offers a
glimpse into what the character Adam is like.
The first quarter of Milton's great epic truly revolves around Satan's emotions and desires. Milton
does his best to help the reader find love for an evil character; he even mentions Satan crying in
hopes of having the reader feel sympathy for him. Satan's emotions are not only triggered by his
feeling of being below God but also his belief of being lower than The Son as well. The huge role
the devil plays throughout the story can be observed in one of the first descriptions of the beast.
Milton compares the size of the sinner to an island by describing that, "The pilot of some small
night–foundered skiff, deeming some island, oft, as seamen tell (Pg 15 lines 204–206)." Not only is
Satan a giant, but he also has a strong personality which can be observed in his actions. After falling
from heaven, Satan even makes a bold statement stating " 'To do aught

67. What Role Does The Satan Play In The Canterbury Tales
In Medieval Literature Satan was often used as a character. There was also more evidence during
this period of time. They were not that obvious unlike others but they were there for sure. They were
often symbolized in a certain character's and personalities that they had throughout the Prologue.
The characters were really relatable to the characteristics of Satan himself. Satan played a big role in
The Canterbury Tales with the Parson, Pardoner, and Summoned. IN the Prologue of The
Canterbury Tales, the Summoner is immediately characterized as Satan. He is described as red face
with big whelks which are pimples just used in another term back then. In the book Chaucer says,
"There was a Summoner with us in the place who had a fire–red cherubinnish face" (Chaucer line

69. Left Brain Right Brain Theory
Left–brained, right–brained, what's really the difference between the two? It may be surprising but
the cerebrum of the brain is split into two different hemispheres, both of which perform different
tasks and focus on different thoughts. Researchers use this very information to understand the
cerebral hemisphere functions, specifically researchers use a theory known as Left Brain–Right
Brain Theory. This essay will discuss the basic principal of the Left Brain–Right Brain Theory, the
three major points of the Left Brain– Right Brain Theory, the functions of each hemisphere, and a
scenario that favors the Left Brain–Right Brain Theory in school education.
Roger Sperry a famous pioneer involved in the field of cerebral hemispheres began the development
of the commonly known, Left Brain–Right Brain Theory. Before officially developing his theory,
Sperry went on to study the effects of epilepsy and perform split brain research (cutting of the
corpus); from Sperry's split brain research he learned that cutting the corpus could either eliminate
or lessen seizures in patients. Additionally, Sperry found that patients with split brain could not
identify objects if handled on the right side of the brain; patients could however identify objects
processed on the left side of the brain. From this information, Sperry was able to propose that the
left side of the brain controlled the language aspects of a human. With Sperry's previous
observations, researchers continued to conduct studies on the cerebral hemisphere of the brain,
researchers found that the left hemisphere of the brain specialized in language, speech, hand
mechanics (writing),mathematical calculations, senses of rhythm and time, and any sort of thought
used for analysing information. On the other hand, researchers found that the right hemisphere of
the brain focused on perception, visualization, faces, emotions harmonies, spatial perception, and
nonverbal communication.Ultimately, this theory is a comparison between the left hemisphere and
the right hemisphere of the brain.
According to this hemispheric theory, there are three major points that are known within the Left
Brain– Right Brain Theory. The first point being that the left hemisphere and the right

71. Obedience: The Odyssey to Freedom Essay
The word freedom is often associated with the idea of an unfettered liberty to select from a range of
alternatives coupled with a sense that our actions will not affect our natural state.
Catholic doctrine teaches that our choice is one of rational deliberation and voluntary subjugation to
a higher force. This is natural law. Milton envisions the same teaching.
Unfortunately, human nature only lends itself to the assumption of certain abstract concepts such as
`natural law', an assumption Milton develops in Paradise Lost. Throughout Paradise Lost, Milton
expands upon the teaching that human actions affect human freedom and that this is a consequence
of the assumption of the natural law that the Creator owns the created. Moreover, the ... Show more

The actors, in choosing contrary to God's will, have been subordinated to what is contrary to God,
the actor has been subordinated to evil. The creature is no longer free but a slave to evil.
According to Christian tradition, God gives freedom to his creations out of love. In return, He
expects obedience, which can only be given to Him through love. Some creatures, irrational
creatures such as plants and animals, live in such obedience simply by existing since, regardless of
the course of their actions, all their choices are in accordance with their Creator. They fulfill God's
will. Since a rational creature has more complex faculties, it is subject to higher expectations;
therefore it is given edicts by which to live. When a rational creature deliberates a course of action,
it is subject to fulfilling God's will. When God's will is fulfilled, creation is in union with God,
however when God's will fails to be fulfilled, this union is broken and the rational being enters into
an unnatural state, a state that contradicts its direction of obedience and love to God.
For a creature to obey there must be some rule to live by, in the story of the creation of Adam God
creates a single rule giving Adam the ability to obey or disobey which in turn gives Adam the ability
to be in union with God or not. Lucifer and his followers are also ordered to obey; they are to love
the Son as they love God. They fail to do so conquered by pride and their lack of love is shown

73. Narcissism in John Milton’s Paradise Lost Essay
Narcissism in John Milton's Paradise Lost
When Eve eats the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, her decision to tell Adam of her
disobedience turns on two suppositions. If her transgression is kept secret from God, Eve's
augmented knowledge might increase Adam's love for her, and perhaps cause her to be more equal
or even superior to Adam. Even though Eve was created comparable to Adam as his helper, she
refers to Adam as her "Author and Disposer." Furthermore, she says that while God is Adam's law,
Adam is her law. Apparently, Eve chafes under this arrangement, as she wraps up her evaluation of
not telling Adam of her sin with, "for inferior who is free?" However, her death is assured if God has
seen her wrongdoing. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Raphael joins Adam for dinner, Eve serves them naked, affirming her place in God's
hierarchy. However, Eve's nakedness arouses no libidinal desires in God's heavenly representative.
Eve listens in on their conversation while Raphael relates how Satan and his rebellious angels were
defeated, and how God and God's Son created the world. Eve leaves when Adam and Raphael
discuss astronomy, her "reason" not suitable for this subject matter, and she only overhears
Raphael's final warning about Satan. Information is power: Eve's status as Adam's "weaker" is clear.
During the conversation with Raphael, Adam relates his first experiences of passion with Eve, an
emotion mixed with his love. While Raphael praises Adam's capacity to love, he disparages Adam's
ability to control his passion. Adam should love, cherish, and honour Eve, but not subject himself to
her. Moreover, Raphael stresses Adam's need to love God, and the potential conflict between his
love for God and his love for Eve. To love God, is to obey God. For Adam, obeying God means
never to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. While God leaves Adam free to will and in
his own will free, his will though free is mutable. Under the influence of passion – sexual desire for
Eve – Adam could choose to act in ways at variance with his free will and God's will. Sexual
passion engenders pride, affecting Adam's obedience and love for

75. Split Brain
Running Head: SPLIT BRAIN LATERALIZATION
Difference of Lateralization Between Split Brain
And Intact Brain Patients
Psychology 102 Section 6X Student
Abstract
Split brain patients lateralize functions in their brains to either side of the brains while intact brain
patients utilize both sides of their brains. A group of 20 subjects were tested, 10 split brain and 10
intact brain patients. We gave these subjects three exams, a vocabulary test, a logical reasoning task
and a face recognition task. We found that split brain patients have a lower correlation between these
exams compared to those of an intact brain. If we were to replicate this exam we will receive
roughly the same numbers, but if done so more patients to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

3C. The correlational method will help me analyze the data and decipher the correlation to identify a
possible relationship between the split brain condition and laterality.
Data were collected from a group of split–brain patients and a group from the general population to
test the hypothesis using the correlational method. Each group completed three tasks shown
previously to be lateralized: (1) a vocabulary test, (2) a logical reasoning

77. Satan's Pity in Paradise Lost
"O Hell!" Satan's opening exclamation of frustration immediately alerts readers to Satan's state of
mind. As Satan gazes on Adam and Eve, he is struck by their blissful state, which sends him into a
spiral of confusion as he slightly reconsiders his plan to destroy them. To himself, Satan addresses
the pair; he begins regretful and with pity for Adam and Eve. He later shifts in tone to vengeful,
envious, and angry. Further exemplifying Satan's contrasting attitudes, Milton uses antonymous
words of emotion throughout the passage. By the end of passage, Milton solidifies Satan's hardening
of heart and ends the struggle that has been festering inside Satan since his first act of rebellion
against God. Milton successfully uses both the shift in tone and the emotional diction to reveal
Satan's stormy internal conflict.
Throughout the passage, Milton inserts beautifully emotional words that describe Satan's contrasting
feelings: grief and joy, woe and bliss, loathing and delight. The positive feelings that Satan
expresses, though describing Adam and Eve's state, reflect the good nature in Satan. That nature is
visibly small, as Satan describes himself as joyful or blissful. He merely observes this happiness in
Adam and Eve; he even speaks the words with hints of regret. The negative words have a much
more powerful effect: Satan uses these words to describe his own feelings and his own domain,
Hell. The feelings of grief, woe, and loathing are his, not Adam and Eve's, and thus
