Content of the presentation
The presentation consists of two
 complex topics:
 Learning styles
 Learning difficulties
Each of them is going to be
 presented separately
Different classifications
 Learning style is the most effective method of
  learning for a certain person.
 There are plenty of models of learning styles. Each
of them classsifies learning styles from a different
point of view. The most important divisions are:
     Sensory
     Perceptual
     Cognitive Information Processing
     Personality type
     Personal talents
Sensory -
Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic & Tactile
             (VAK) model
                               Learners
                               have

                               method of
                               input, either
                               by seeing,

Perceptual - Right/Left Hemispheric
 Dominance or whole Brain Model

                       Learners have
                       preferred
                       characteristics
                       attributed to
                       the two different
                       hemispheres of
                       the brain.
Occupations
    Right hemisphere Left hemisphere
      domination: domination:
 Forest ranger  Lab scientist
 Wildlife manager  Banker
 Beautician  Judge
 Politician  Lawyer
 Athlete  Mathematician
 Artist  Bacteriologist
 Craftsman  Librarian
 Actor/Actress  Skating judge, skiing
                             judge, etc.
Cognitive Information Processing –
           Kolb’s model

                         Learners have
                         preferred
                         styles
                         in the realms
                         of perception -
                         vs- processing
Personality type - Myers Briggs
    Type Indicator (MBTI)
                  Learners have
                  preferred styles
                  according to
                  the dichotomies in
                  the table below.
                  The indicator
                  measures how people
                  perceive the world
                  and make decisions.
Personal talent - Gardner’s
  Multiple Intelligences

                         Learners
                         exhibit
                         preferences
                         in eight
                         different
                         types of
                         intelligence
                         as shown
Importance of finding
  own learning style
 Learning is a key for
               your future, so it
               shouldn’t look like
               this!
              Due to finding the
              best method of
              learning, you will be
              spending less time
              on learning and
              remember more
