What is the best way to handle the design process? Photoshop, design in the browser, handling responsive design all while handling client expectations.
How to Achieve a Better Product Culture by Pinn VP of PlatformProduct School
Main takeaways:
- How to make sure you're joining a company with a culture for success. Turnover for PMs can be high because, if there is an execution issue or political issue plaguing the company, PMs experience it without protection. However, we can also learn from those experiences to identify when a company and team will actually execute well.
- How to make sure you're hiring the right people. If you're going to be a Product Lead, I'll teach a key behavior trait that's vital. It dives into the "hire smart people, no jerks" but that's easier said than done. I'll share what to really look for and watch out for.
- How to identify and manage the more difficult coworker when inevitably encountering one.

"Innovate or die” is the mantra of successful companies. So how can we build innovation into our product development process? By combining design thinking, lean startup and agile we get a recipe for repeatable innovation: lean UX. Lean UX and lean startup methods are being used today by many startups and innovation labs to take a learning approach to discovering and building the best product for customers.
But what does repeatable innovation look like scaled across an enterprise? This talk will share how to apply lean product practices as a continuous process across multiple products and agile development teams in an organization. With real examples and artifacts you will learn how to manage - and thrive - in uncertainty to create awesome products.

We all want the best user experience, but often other priorities get in the way: “Bob from Marketing wants it to…”, “The developers don’t like that approach...”, “That feature is a ‘nice to have’”.
What if you had a tool that can help folks sharpen their UX skills, get them prioritizing the users and their goals, and align everyone on a common vision that revolves around a great user experience?
This hands-on tutorial will walk you through a design studio and how it can be a great tool to align product owners, developers and UX teams on an approach that balances user and business needs. We’ll also show you how to conduct a “mini design studio” before an agile sprint.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with different aspects of running a design studio through individual and group exercises throughout the tutorial.

What 'Doodlers' and 'Coders' can teach Business about Experience DesignCandy Bernhardt
If you are a key leader in your business, you might wonder why creatives and developers can be so argumentative about seemingly straightforward feature requests for your site. Likewise, if you are one of the talented people doing the actual design and code work, it can often be frustrating when “suits” don’t understand the fundamentals of good user experience. It’s time for an intervention!
Prototyping is not a new concept, but the role it plays in the design process has changed dramatically in the last few years. Proliferation of agile methods and the grassroots nature of design thinking have opened up new opportunities where research and design happen simultaneously. New tools for building digital prototypes have given design teams numerous options from very simple demos to complex proof of concepts.
The Devbridge Design team shares their experience and explore cases where prototyping has driven the design and research process. With varying levels of complexity and fidelity, each has had a different outcome.

My Agile 2013 session 'Rapid Product Design in the Wild'. In August 2012 Red Gate attended Kscope, a conference for Oracle developers. Instead of doing the usual product demonstrations, we turned our stand into a live lab and took Agile development processes out of the office and in front of our customers. Our stand included an area for customer research, a Kanban board and information radiators in the form of a whiteboard, blank wall and a large digital screen. Over 3 days we ran 9 sprints and conducted 25 customer interviews, using a paper prototype to get feedback. We collected invaluable information about our customers' development environments, how they work with their teams, their processes, tasks and pain points. By the end of the conference my colleague had developed an interactive HTML/CSS prototype which potential customers could evaluate. The team went through several rapid build-measure-learn cycles to improve our product concept and validate the market need.
This presentation explains the process we used and introduces the Live Design Lab Planner, a tool which helps teams to plan this type of rapid product design activity.
User Centered Design: guarantee that your business process automation project...Bonitasoft
Wide user acceptance is one of the biggest challenges companies face when launching a new project, product, or service. Any of these can fail for a variety of reasons, but failure is often due to a disappointing user experience.
The process of User Centered Design actively takes into account the needs, expectations, and characteristics of end users at each stage of the development process, leading ultimately to better user satisfaction.
The tools and processes manager of a large French automotive group recently noted, "You have to be user-centric to successfully digitize your processes." End users can feel, “This was actually designed with me in mind - my wants and needs were actually considered before a tool was imposed on me to use.”
From layout to delivery of the first iteration and through continuous improvement, learn how to use the Bonita UI Designer as an iteration tool to guarantee an ideal match with the actual needs of end users.

How to Use Data to Build Products by Tradesy Product AdvisorProduct School
Main takeaways:
- Product Management is probably the most exciting function in technology organizations - it's an art and science that's well-suited for certain personalities
- The goal of a good Product Manager is NOT to launch a product - rather, it's to move a planned metric in the right direction by the right amount
- A good Product Manager can answer the question, "How did your product do yesterday?" We can't answer that without a well-defined analytics strategy and data requirements built into our products

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.
