Narrated Business Proposal for the Philadelphia Eaglescamrynascott12
Slide 1:
Welcome, and thank you for joining me today. We will explore a strategic proposal to enhance parking and traffic management at Lincoln Financial Field, aiming to improve the overall fan experience and operational efficiency. This comprehensive plan addresses existing challenges and leverages innovative solutions to create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for our fans.
Slide 2:
Picture this: It’s a crisp fall afternoon, driving towards Lincoln Financial Field. The atmosphere is electric—tailgaters grilling, fans in Eagles jerseys creating a sea of green and white. The air buzzes with camaraderie and anticipation. You park, join the throng, and make your way to your seat. The stadium roars as the Eagles take the field, sending chills down your spine. Each play is a thrilling dance of strategy and skill. This is what being an Eagles fan is all about—the joy, the pride, and the shared experience.
Slide 3:
But now, the day is marred by frustration. The excitement wanes as you struggle to find a parking spot. The congestion is overwhelming, and tempers flare. The delays mean you miss the pre-game excitement, the tailgate camaraderie, and even the opening kick-off. After the game, the joy of victory or the shared solace of defeat is overshadowed by the stress of navigating out of the parking lot. The gridlock, honking horns, and endless waiting drain the energy and joy from what should have been an unforgettable experience.
Our proposal aims to eliminate these frustrations, ensuring that from arrival to departure, your experience is extraordinary. Efficient parking and smooth traffic flow are key to maintaining the high spirits and excitement that make game days special.
Slide 4:
The Philadelphia Eagles are not just a premier NFL team; they are an integral part of the community, hosting games, concerts, and various events at Lincoln Financial Field. Our state-of-the-art stadium is designed to provide a world-class experience for every attendee. Whether it's the thrill of game day, the excitement of a live concert, or the camaraderie of community events, we pride ourselves on delivering a fan-first experience and maintaining operational excellence across all our activities. Our commitment to our fans and community is unwavering, and we continuously strive to enhance every aspect of their experience, ensuring they leave with unforgettable memories.
Slide 5:
Recent trends show an increasing demand for efficient event logistics. Our customer feedback has consistently highlighted frustrations with parking and traffic. Surveys indicate that a significant number of fans are dissatisfied with the current parking situation. Comparisons with other venues like Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center reveal that we lag in terms of parking efficiency and convenience. These insights underscore the urgent need for innovation to meet and exceed fan expectations.
Slide 6:
As we delve into the intricacies of our operations, one glaring issue emer

8. Why we are here today
To explore how our work can contribute to
the delivery of the Vision for Sport in Wales.
To introduce CIMSPA to Welsh stakeholders
and explain our progress towards creating a
recognised and respected profession for the
sport and physical activity workforce.
To get your input as to how CIMSPA might
need to tailor its approach to work best in
Wales.
10. About CIMSPA
CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and
physical activity sector, committed to supporting, developing and
enabling professionals and organisations to succeed and, as a result,
inspire our nation to become more active.
We are growing our regulatory function with the sector– defining the
boundaries of the sport and physical activity sector and setting
professional standards for job roles within the sector, based on
employer needs and education expert input.
We are also a professional membership body – representing all those
who work in sport and physical activity: from student to CEO.
11. About CIMSPA
We are becoming widely recognised as the lead body for workforce
development in sport and physical activity.
All of our work is partner-led across the whole sector – from national
governing bodies of sport, through leisure trusts to private fitness
chains.
Our work influences all roles across the sector – from CEO, through
sports development officer, to lifeguard.
12. Shaping a recognised and respected
sport and physical activity sector that
everyone wants to be part of.
Our vision
15. CIMSPA progress – sector advocacy
Appointed by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher
Education as the Professional Statutory Regulatory Body for
the Sport and Physical Activity sector.
Named as the End Point Assessment Quality Assurance
Agency for 5 apprenticeship standards n England..
(Leisure Team Member, Leisure Team Manager, Personal Trainer,
Community Activator Coach, Community Sport and Health Officer).
Representing the sector on the Institute for Apprenticeships
Health and Sciences Route Panel in England.
16. Education and training – CIMSPA progress
So far we have achieved:
27 Professional standards
340 qualifications endorsed
490 CPD units endorsed/recognised
Higher education partnership pilot complete and degree
endorsement product being prepared for launch.
Quality assurance system up and running with over 20
training providers already visited and assessed.
17. Workforce development in Wales
Our existing workforce development strategy/approach is largely
based on work in England.
With sport and physical activity a devolved function, we need to
uncover how we can respect and consider Welsh needs.
As an example, in Scotland we may facilitate a nation-specific
Professional Development Board to give Scottish employers and
education providers oversight of professional standards in Scotland.
18. Our goal – striking the balance
We want to ensure the whole UK sport and physical activity workforce
can benefit from portable and transferable education products.
We need to reach this goal whilst still respecting devolved powers and
the unique aspects of Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish sport and
physical activity service delivery.
19. What we know – big issues
Multiple and overlapping qualifications in many job roles.
• Lack of employer clarity as to what ”being qualified and
competent” means in sport and physical activity.
• Lack of clarity as to minimum standards for deployment in a
job role.
Poor ROI on the £1.1bn annual sector training investment.
Our sector isn’t always positively viewed by other professions e.g.
health.
We lack clear insight into the make-up of our sector’s workforce.
The above all contribute to high insurance premiums in our sector –
20. Connecting the Vision for Sport
with workforce development
The Vision for Sport is about more than medals
– its about unleashing the power of sport and
physical activity for everyone in Wales
A high-quality sector workforce is vital to
delivering the Vision for Sport – “everyone
directly involved” has a role to play according to
the strategy.
Bringing the Vision for Sport to life will CHANGE
the way sport and physical activity is delivered in
Wales, and CIMSPA is keen to be part of this
change.
“This Vision for
Sport belongs to
and needs the
support of everyone
in Wales to ensure
its success.”
24. Outline
Current challenges for the S&PA sector
CIMSPAs approach to tackling them
Professional Standards – role of employers and role of educators
Endorsement and quality assurance
25. What are the issues we need to address?
Unhappy employers
Workforce shortages
Skills gaps
Retention issues
Inefficient and confusing education system
Apprenticeship levy introduction
Lack of sector recognition
Technical education reform
Health sector perception
Lack of professional recognition
26.
27. 22,490 Apprenticeships in England predominantly at level 2 and 3
Circa £112,450,000 investment from Government
2014 - 2015
26,880 Students studying applied generals per year in England
Circa £112,896,000 investment from Government
75,000 Students studying in Higher Education per year
Equating to 665 different courses in 219 institutions
Circa £600,000,000 invested by individuals
28. Circa £825,346,000 invested in individuals who study Sport and
Physical Activity related qualifications in full time education per year
2014 - 2015
Another Circa £300,000,000 (400,000 certificates awarded by
awarding organisations) invested in stand alone qualifications (e.g.
Swimming Teacher, Gym Instructor, plus in house training / CPD
delivered by employers.
Estimated over £1.1 Billion per year spent on Education and training
in our sector
29. What is the solution? CIMSPA are…
Working more closely with employers than ever before, embedded in
our governance – Professional Development Board and Committees
Listening to what employers want and translating that for educators –
Professional Standards
Working with educators to support them with the challenges of
delivering what employers want – Awarding Organisation, Skills
Development and Higher Education Partnerships
Providing assurance to employers and the education sector through
endorsement and quality assurance
31. Sport and Physical Activity Professional Standards
Underpin the development of any educational product seeking
CIMSPA endorsement (technical qualification, FE programme, under
or post graduate degree, apprenticeship, Armed Forces development
programmes)
Are developed in line with employer needs
Are led by the competency of the person, and the knowledge and skills
they need to have to cope with the demands placed upon them
Are not constricted by history
Are not developed to meet the business needs of education providers
therefore have required the S&PA sector to think a little differently
33. The Professional Standard(s)
Professional standards for occupations, populations,
environments and technical specialisms
Not to look at one standard in isolation
A combination of standards can provide a solution to suit all types
of employer
34. Single standards framework
OCCUPATION
e.g. Manager
+ENVIRONMENT e.g. Leisure, Fitness,
Coaching, Sports Development
+TECHNICAL SPECIALISM e.g. Pool Plant
Operator
EDUCATION
PRODUCT
36. Endorsement and Quality Assurance
Product endorsement
All providers in partnership with CIMSPA (Awarding
Organisation, Independent Training Providers, Further
Education, Higher Education, Apprenticeship
Providers, Armed forces)
Check the organisation is credible
Check the product aligns to what employers want
(Professional Standards)
42. Employers feedback
Application of knowledge is more important than the knowledge itself
Real world (workplace) assessment is essential
We want people who can deal with a broad range of ‘customers’
We want to understand the process for training and assessment, i.e.
what they can actually do as a result
43. Which employers are we working with?
120 Employer Partners
Leisure Trusts
Local Authorities
County Sport Partnerships
Management Contractors
Education Organisations
Private Sector
44.
45. What we do for employers
Put employers in the driving seat
Review employee qualifications through individual membership
