The Millau Viaduct in France is the highest bridge in the world. It is part of a route connecting Paris and Barcelona. The suspension bridge spans the Tarn River and is 343 meters tall at its highest point, even taller than the Eiffel Tower. It has a total length of 2.5 km and is supported by seven pylons instead of the typical two. The bridge cost around 310 million euros to construct and opened in December 2004 after only 39 months of work.
