Traditional retailers are under assault from the demands of the digital economy. The power is shifting from the enterprise to consumers, who are demanding interactive, personalized experiences, wherever they are, whenever they need it. For these consumers, a different retailer is just a click away.
In this webcast, Norman Woodard from Accenture and Apigee’s Brian Pagano describe the latest technologies retail companies use to analyze and understand their customers: where they are, on what channels and devices, and how they interact with the retailer. We will explore how building deep insights about customers' context helps retailers provide the relevant, individualized experiences that increase customer engagement.

Outside in thinking - How APIs can help open up your business
Many organisations are digital immigrants, traditional enterprises who are making the switch to digital and thinking about how they can release and monetise the true value of the data they have in their backend systems, we call this an Inside Out approach.
A new way of thinking is required for someone to make the crossover into being a true digital immigrant and to start thinking more like the leading digital natives they are trying to follow. We call this thinking Outside In.
This presentation I gave at API Days London discusses how an Outside In approach can help your business adapt quickly, build new ideas and reuse existing APIs to create amazing new products.
In this webcast, L.L.Bean’s Kristopher Kleva walks us through the company’s digital commerce API platform, and explain how APIs enable the century-old company’s multiple marketing, retail, and big data systems, in addition to supporting its multiple mobile apps and mobile web site.

Organizations are now moving towards API-driven business models. They seek complete solutions that allow them to design and publish APIs, explore and consume those APIs and create and manage a developer community. They specifically look for a service that provides them with the capability to develop their own applications that fit their API management requirements.
WSO2 API Manager is a complete API management solution that allows you to do just this. It exposes a REST API which allows application developers to consume it and build their own portals. This webinar will discuss the following topics:
REST APIs available for API management
Dynamic client registration for consuming APIs
How to leverage OAuth scopes for role based authorization
How to obtain an access token and invoke APIs
Demonstration on how to develop apps by consuming store and publisher APIs
Presentation from the developer track at I Love APIs London 2016 featuring Matt McClean, Amazon Web Services.
Developers have been jumping on the microservices bandwagon because of the obvious benefits of faster release cycles and innovation. However, microservices' downside is the increased server costs, operational costs, and performance costs. To reduce this complexity, Amazon Web Services created AWS Lambda - a compute platform that lets you build microservices with no provisioning and servers.
Matt McClean, Solution Architect from AWS, presents how to use AWS Lambda to build your microservices. He covers various architectural patterns and anti-patterns for using AWS Lambda.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.

I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
