10. What is the punctuation for an imperative sentence?

Put the end marks and abbreviations for each kind of sentence.

Subject: Circle the subject noun (simple subject) and underline the complete subject once.Then, draw a line to
separate the complete subject from the complete predicate.
1. A black and white panda climbed a tree.
2. The dark, stormy sky looks very scary!
3. The boys will play soccer after their breakfast.
4. Those newspaper reporters have been interviewing
the president all morning.
5. It has been rainy all day long.
Station 4 (Predicate)
Circle the verb (simple predicate) and underline the complete predicate twice.Then, draw a line to separate the complete subject from
the complete predicate.(HINT: Don’t forget LV or HV)

  • 3. Station Review At your stations: -4 min each station -1 piece of paper for whole group -Rotate writers -All partners working TOGETHER -Notebook pass @ 1 station only (need to tell Miss Kirkner) -Most answers correct  wins
  • 4. Station 1 1. What is a noun? Person, place, or thing ` 2. What word usually starts the complete predicate? Verb 3. What does an exclamatory sentence do? Shows strong feeling 4. What are the article adjectives? A, an, the 5. What are all the words that describe the subject noun the complete subject
  • 5. Station 1 cont’d 6. What question do we ask to find the subject? Who/what is doing something? 7. What questions do we ask to find adjectives? What kind? Which one? How many? 8. What is the punctuation for declarative sentence? period 9. What does an adjective modify? Noun or pronoun 10. What is the punctuation for an imperative sentence? period or exclamation mark

  • 7. Station 3 (subject) Subject: Circle the subject noun (simple subject) and underline the complete subject once.Then, draw a line to separate the complete subject from the complete predicate. 1. A black and white panda climbed a tree. 2. The dark, stormy sky looks very scary! 3. The boys will play soccer after their breakfast. 4. Those newspaper reporters have been interviewing the president all morning. 5. It has been rainy all day long.

Station 4 (Predicate) Circle the verb (simple predicate) and underline the complete predicate twice.Then, draw a line to separate the complete subject from the complete predicate.(HINT: Don’t forget LV or HV) 1.
