2. LANGUAGE DEATH
The term language death is used when
that community is the last one in the
world to use that language.
A language dies when nobody speaks
it anymore.
It always died when their speakers
have died or started using other
languages.
Like latin and greek are often refered
to as dead language.
3. TYPES OF LANGUAGE DEATH
Gradual death : Language death can happen gradually when a
community of speakers acquires a second language. This
process happens over generations as parents stop teaching their
children.
Sudden death : When all the speakers of a language die in a
disaster or being killed.
Radical death : Radical death is similar to sudden death. When
all the speaker of a language stop speaking there language due
to political reasons or genocide.
Bottom to top death :When a language change being in a low
level environment such as home, folk songs or religion.

4. Acquisition of language by adults..
Use informal language among people .
Literacy in language.
Encourage the language in lice of compulsory state.
Encourage the use of language in workplace.
Encourage the use of language in local govt. & mass
media etc.
Encourage the higher education & government etc.
