By the 7th of every month employers must declare their employees regardless of whether there were changes or not
The Minister of Labour will issue a regulation on special dispensation applicable to domestic employers and small businesses or enterprises regarding the submission of information
The Act prohibits agency or person purporting to be acting on behalf of the applicant to charge any fee against the applicant
2. Labour Activation Program
• Section 48(1) of the UI Act, 63 of 2002, empowers
the UIF Board to advise the Minister of Labour on
policies for minimising unemployment; and the
creation of schemes to alleviate the effects of
unemployment.
• The Depart of Labour has introduced active labour
market programs to mitigate the impact of
unemployment and poverty in the country

3. Key Areas of focus - LAP
These goals can be achieved through
participating in the following key areas:
• Training of UIF beneficiaries on a number of skills in
partnership with SETAs and TVET colleges
• Training of aspiring entrepreneurs
• Assisting companies/employees in distress
• Partnerships with local government, departments,
State Owned Entities, and Private Sector.
