This document introduces various lab tools used in science class including safety goggles, test tubes, test tube brushes, test tube holders, test tube racks, spatulas, microscopes, beakers, funnels, droppers, graduated cylinders, digital balances, thermometers, stop watches, hand lenses, conical flasks, measuring tapes, and compasses. Each tool is described briefly in terms of its purpose such as keeping eyes safe, cleaning test tubes, holding test tubes, seeing small objects, measuring volumes, weighing objects, measuring temperature, and determining directions.

- We use it to keep our eyes safe.

4. Test tubes
- We use them to heat liquids .

5. Test tube brush
- We use it to clean test tubes .

6. Test tube holder
- We use it to hold test tubes when they are hot.

7. Test tube rack
- We use it to hold test tubes when you don’t
need them.

8. Spatula
- We use it to move a small amount of solids or
powders from place to place.

9. Microscope
- We use it to see very small objects (make them
larger) .

10. Beakers
- A wide mouth container used to move , heat or
store liquids .

11. Funnel
- We use it to pour liquids into containers with
small openings or to hold filter paper.

12. Dropper
- We use it to drop very small amount of liquids .

13. Graduated cylinder
- We use it to measure the volume very
accurately .

Volume of water= 10 ml (milliliter)

14. Digital Balance
- We use it to measure the weight of the objects .
Example:
Weight= 50 g (gram)

15. Thermometer
- We use it to measure the temperature of the
things .
Example:
Room temperature= 30 C (degree Celsius)

16. Stop watch
- We use it to measure time

- We use it to magnify small objects .

18. Conical flask
- A narrow mouthed container used to move ,
heat or store liquids .

19. Measuring tape
- We use it to measure length or distance.
Example:
Length= 136 cm (centimeter)

20. Compass
- We use it to determine the directions.
