Gold is a transitional metal. In its purest form have reddish yellow color, soft, malleable, and ductile metal.
Atomic number : 79
Atomic mass : 196.9 u
Density : 19.32 g/cm3
Melting point : 1,064 °C
Boiling point : 2,700 °C
Founded in different form associated with different rock type in different tectonic setting.
Discovered from earlier time and used for multi purposes.
Formation of gold
The saying among prospectors that "gold is where you find it" suggests its occurrence is unpredictable, but there is some certain geological environments for the formation.
Because gold is very stable over a range of conditions, it is very widespread in the earth’s crust.
Gold dissolved in warm to hot salty water, the fluids are generated in huge volumes deep in the Earth’s crust as water-bearing minerals dehydrate during metamorphism.
Any gold present in the rocks being heated and squeezed is sweated out and goes into solution as complex ions.
In this form, dissolved gold, along with other elements such as silicon, iron and sulphur, migrates wherever fractures in the rocks allow the fluids to pass.
The direction is generally upwards, to cooler regions at lower pressures nearer the Earth’s surface.
Gold eventually becomes insoluble and begins to crystallize, most often enveloped by quartz.
The association of gold and quartz vein forms one of the most common types of "primary gold deposits".
India
In India, gold mineralization of economic importance is mainly restricted to Archean greenstone terranes of the Dharwar Craton (DC).
The eastern block of the DC has a high favorability for hosting major gold deposits such as Kolar, Hutti, and Ramagiri, whereas the western block hosts only a few smaller deposits such as Gadag, Ajjahanahalli, and Kempinkote.
Gold also discoverrd by GSI in the Singbhum Craton, Aravalli Craton, Bastar Craton and Southern Granulite Terrain (SGT).
India is the second-largest consumer of gold after China.
India currently holds about 558 tones of gold, representing 6.6% of its reserves, (World Gold Council, October 2016).
Kolar Gold Field, Hutti Gold Field and Ramgiri Gold Field are the most important gold fields.
Gold Demand and Use
The largest source of demand is the jewelry industry Gold’s workability, unique beauty, and universal appeal make this rare precious metal the favorite of jewelers all over the world.
Besides jewelry, gold has many applications in a variety of industries including aerospace, medicine, dentistry, and electronics for the manufacture of computers, telephones, televisions...
The third source of gold demand is governments and central banks that buy gold to increase their official reserves.
Private investors there are private investors. Depending upon market circumstances, the investment component of demand can vary substantially from year to year.

The following article clears up several different myths about CVD or lab grown diamonds. There are several misunderstood and misinterpreted facts about lab diamonds and this article aims on clearing those up.
The following presentation talks about different reasons why one must choose the purchase lab made or lab grown artificial diamonds over natural mined diamonds.
Both diamonds and gemstones are crystals of certain elements or compounds, but what’s the difference between coloured diamonds & other gemstones,When we think about engagement rings and jewellery, the most popular stone to go with the precious metal of choice is a brilliant white diamond. At Diamond Heaven, we love diamonds. From shining black diamonds to sparkling yellow and even pale pink, diamonds are forever.
Lab grown diamonds is the next big thing in the jewellery world that is gaining persistent importance on all fronts. The key feature in a man-made diamond is its potential to be available in all seasons as they are generated in labs which do not need a certain environment for their growth. The labs also have the ability to produce Type II A diamonds manually. Type II A diamonds are the diamonds that qualify as a high class of diamonds; Cullinan, Kohinoor and Lesedi La Rona to name a few. Man-made diamonds are of various types; although, they still haven’t been able to replicate all the natural diamonds. There are two main types of man-made diamonds, let’s take a closer look at them and also the sub-types:

5 Common Gemstones Used In Jewellery.pptxMaliha Laiq
Precious gems, are very rare and do not occur frequently in the Earth’s crust. Their value is not only because of their beauty but also because of their rarity.
Semi-precious gems, are more common and are also used for jewellery and other ornamental purposes.
Uncut gems, are not used for other purposes and are sold as uncut stones.
Gemstones are usually cut into cabochons or faceted gems. Cabochons are stones that have been polished and have only one flat polished face. Faceted gems have many polished faces, or facets, and are usually cut from a flat-bottomed rock crystal (rock crystal is also known as natural transparent quartz since it is colourless).

2. Diamonds are the hardest substance on Earth,
with a Mohs scale of 10. The number 9 on the
Mohs scale, Corundum, is 4 times lesser dense
than diamonds. Due to this hardness, diamonds
are extremely resistant to scratching and
fracturing.
These qualities of diamonds make it favourable
to be used for cutting, grinding, shaping and
polishing other hard materials including other
diamonds. Notwithstanding its qualities

3. diamonds are technically formed of a single
element-Carbon, just like the graphite of our
pencils but with a high melting point of 3815
Degrees Celsius.
Almost all natural diamonds contain impurities,
in the form of slight colour differences due to
presence of other elements like Boron and
Nitrogen which give them blue and yellow
colours respectively.
Diamonds which have been exposed to radiation
generally are green in colour.

We, at Riddhi Corporation, have been a pioneer
in producing lab-grown diamonds since 2014. We
have a dedicated Research and Development
department of 15 specialists which was set up 11
years ago and which has set itself a target of
growing diamonds up to 50 carats within 1 year.
We always strive to ensure that our diamonds
are of consistent quality. We intend to ensure
uniformity in quality by releasing an assortment
of similar quality diamonds every month for sale.
5. Currently, we sell both raw and polished lab-
grown diamonds. Additionally, we are also in the
business of manufacturing jewellery only on
order basis.
We intend to popularize lab-grown diamonds for
their benefits and price competitiveness.
We are currently involved in the business of the
production, manufacture and sale of both Type 1
and Type 2 diamonds.

6. Industrial diamonds are renowned for their
thermal conductivity and hardness. The 4C
gemological criteria are irrelevant for industrial
diamonds. About 80% of mined diamonds are
unsuitable for use as gems, and are used for
industrial use. The hardness of industrial
diamonds is primarily used for cutting machinery
and the like.achinery and the like.
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
7. Synthetic diamonds have been in production
since the 1950s. Even before that, numerous
western scientists have tried to create artificial
diamonds. It is estimated that about 98% of the
diamonds used for industrial purposes are
synthetic. It is a common misconception that
synthetic diamonds are of inferior quality, but in
reality they contain almost all of the qualities of
real diamonds.
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
8. High Pressure High Temperature diamonds are
made when a high purity carbon source and a
solvent metal are introduced to diamond seeds
and pressed at a high temperature of above
1400 Degrees Celsius. The resultant diamonds
are much easier to cut as they are manufactured
according to predetermined specifications.
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
9. Chemical Vapour Deposition diamonds are made
when circumstances are created to make carbon
atoms in a gas to settle in a substrate in a
crystalline form. Synthetic diamonds made with
these processes have qualities like hardness,
thermal conductivity and electron mobility which
can be far superior to those of naturally
occurring diamonds.
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
10. Lab grown diamonds are eco-friendly, cause no
impact on the environment or any kind of
pollution and are of much better quality than
mined diamonds. Due to these qualities, lab-
grown diamonds are known as ‘green diamonds’.
The difference between mined and lab-grown
diamonds is indistinguishable to the naked eye,
only a trained gemologist using specialized
equipment can spot the difference.
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
11. The colour of the diamond is a result of
impurities in the diamond. As mentioned earlier,
certain elemental impurities give diamonds
distinctive colours. Diamonds are graded on a
scale of D to Z depending on the depth of the
colour. Coloured fancy diamonds are extremely
sought after and they are sold for high prices at
auctions.
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
12. Diamonds have always been treasured for their
clarity, beauty and opulence. Traditionally worn
by nobility, diamonds are now used for a variety
of new uses, besides being used for jewellery.
Presently, diamonds come from two sources-
mined diamonds and lab grown or green
diamonds
www.labgrowndiamoand.com
13. A diamond is valued by 4C’s-Cut, carat, colour
and clarity. Diamonds are measured in a carat
which is the mass of the stone, with 100 grams
indicating 1 carat and so on. A diamond is cut to
enhance its faceted look, thereby losing some of
its carat value. The proportion, symmetry and
polish of a diamond affect the quality of its cut.
