 The prepositions of place are placed behind the main verb, which is usually the
verb "to be" in any of the past, present or future times and in both simple and
compound forms.
 We have already seen the different uses of the three most common prepositions
("in", "at", "on")

6. Prespositions of Time (in, on, at)
 There are three basic English prepositions of time: at, in, and on. The use of these
prepositions has some very simple rules but of which the students do not always
remember. Today we will remember the rules of time prepositions in English and
the few exceptions that accompany them.

 Se utiliza con expresiones de tiempo que contienen horas.
 I usually get up at 7 o’clock.
 Son horas también expresiones como lunch time / midday / midnight.
 We normally have lunch at midday.

 IN
 Se utiliza con expresiones de tiempo que contienen:
 Partes del día (in the morning / afternoon / evening)
 I usually work in the afternoon.
 Excepción: at night
 Meses del año (in May / December etc.)
 In Romania, it snows in December.
 Estaciones del año ( in the spring / summer / autumn / winter)
 I like to relax on the beach in the summer.
 Años ( in 1989)

 ON se utiliza para indicar:
 • DÍAS: On Thursday—El jueves
• UN DÍA PARTICULAR: On July 1st—El 1 de julio/On New Year’s Day—El Día de
Año Nuevo
• DÍA + PARTE DEL DIA: On Monday morning—El lunes por la mañana
