Brand Analysis of Harley Davidson (from Indian perspective).Jay Shah
I have attempted a brand analysis of one of the giants in Automobile sector: Harley Davidson. This analysis is done keeping in mind the Indian market. The brand is doing great globally but to get dominance in the Indian market, it needs to understand India's consumer behavior because India is not like any other market. They need to be more flexible in their framing their strategic plans. The competition between HD and Royal Enfield is exciting for the consumers as well as marketers. Well, i wish that the best marketer may win!

Abstract:
Netscribes’ latest market research report titled Tire Industry in India 2014 captures the overall domestic tire market. The tire industry comprises pneumatic, semi pneumatic, retreads, solid and cushion tyres. Globally, the industry is expected to grow at a steady pace due to the rising automobile demand from all regions especially Asia Pacific. Indian tire industry is also registering steady growth with the passenger car segment having the highest market share. Demand from replacement tire market along with rising automobile sales have provided a boost to the tire industry, which further stimulates the demand for tires across all vehicle segments. Sufficient scope in radial tire market, increasing exports and rising investment in road construction together comprise some of the key factors propelling the tire industry.
However, the industry also has to contend with several bottlenecks. Price volatility and absence of some key raw materials along with inappropriate duty structure of natural rubber pose a hindrance to the growth of the industry. Retreaded and tubeless tires as well as green tires are slowly gaining prominence. Players are also focusing on increasing capacity for manufacturing radial tires. Indian tire industry is poised to grow over the coming years along with the steady economic growth of the country.

Memory and Future. European Day of Memory and Welcome is a day for ensuring migration policies keep humanity and solidarity at their core while promoting responsibility sharing across Europe.
The 3rd October is a symbolic date, reminiscent of the day when, in 2013, 368 people including children, women and men lost their lives in a shipwreck off the coast of Lampedusa.
1. La Pirelli
La "Pirelli & C." fu fondata nel 1872 a
Milano dall'ingegnere Giovanni Battista Pirelli, allo scopo di
produrre tele gommate, cinghie di trasmissione, manicotti e
raccorderie in gomma di caucciù vulcanizzato.
Immediatamente venne avviata la costruzione del primo
opificio, nell'area adiacente via Ponte Seveso, poi rinominata
presenza commerciale in oltre 160 paesi.
2. La Missione
Aziendale
La missione aziendale della Pirelli è, come
da loro affermato, ‘Cambiare l'esperienza
di guida sfidando continuamente i confini
della tecnologia per lo sviluppo di
pneumatici, dello stile e della sostenibilità,
creando tendenze nelle comunità di tutto il
mondo’.
3. Strategie
di
Marketing
- standardizzazione processi e piattaforme, produzione in low cost countries -),
Cina e Romania (low cost countries).
Inoltre la Pirelli fu coinvolta, nel 2010, in uno
Scandalo intercettazioni con la Telecom.
5. Fatturato e
Bilancio
2015. Questi dati sono aggiornati al 30 settembre 2015.
6. Immagini,
pubblicità e
slogan
L’immagine a destra
rappresenta il Pirellone,
ossia la sede centrale
della Pirelli, situata a
Milano. Il grattacielo fu
costruito dal 1956 al
1960, ed ebbe il record
di grattacielo più alto
d’Europa dal 1958 al
1966. Fu progettato
dall’architetto Gio Ponti,
ed il suo stile appartiene
al Movimento Moderno.
È alto 127 m e ha 32
piani.
8. Il calendario
Pirelli
Una nota iniziativa della Pirelli è
il calendario Pirelli, stampato
dal 1963 in tiratura limitata
e regalato soltanto ad un
numero limitato di importanti
clienti della Pirelli e di VIP. Il
calendario è un prodotto
particolare, caratterizzato da
immagini di fascino, compresi
i nudi artistici. Apparire sul
calendario Pirelli è diventato
un segno di distinzione per
i fotografi incaricati di
realizzare gli scatti, stessa
fama che è spettata
ovviamente anche alle varie
top models, attrici, cantanti e
personalità internazionali,
incluse personalità maschili.
Quest’uomo è Steve McCurry, il
fotografo dell’edizione 2013 del
Calendario Pirelli. È forse uno dei
fotografi più famosi ad aver
partecipato alla creazione del
calendario, poiché è il fotografo della
Ragazza afgana, pubblicata come
