How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

KYCKYW-S.D.G -Lesson Plan-Venezuela
1. S.D.G Narrated Lesson Plan
(Quality Education and Venezuela)
By: Hunter Sally
The University of Akron
5300 303 Global Education and Technology
Professor Batton
2. Overview
Grade Level: 9th grade
Subject Area: World History
Introduction: The following lesson plan was designed to be used in a 9th grade World
History classroom. This lesson plan will not only teach students about the current
economic, governmental, and political development occurring in Venezuela but also the
quality of education their citizens are currently receiving. The beginning of the lesson plan
focuses on introducing Venezuela and important facts. As the lesson progresses, the focus
slowly shifts into the difficulties Venezuela is currently facing in providing quality
education. Student comprehension will be tracked by completing a variety of assessments.
3. Class Layout / Activity Layout
● Each day of the lesson plan is divided into multiple activities.
● Some of these activities include: Bell ringers, group / class discussions,
PowerPoint lecture, video lecture, etc.
● Assessment layout:
○ The lesson plan begins with a pre-assessment.
○ The the following 3 days are introduced by a short bell ringer.
■ Bell ringers are not meant to be hard but to track student comprehension.
○ A formative assessment to conclude the third day.
○ An authentic assessment that is given on day four.
○ The lesson plan concludes with a formative assessment.
■ The formative assessment is the exact same as the summative assessment. This makes it
much easier to track student development and understanding.
4. Accommodations
● Accommodations are provided in each activity in the lesson plan.
● Test taking accommodations:
○ For those with learning or test taking disabilities, they can be offered extra time and/or the
opportunity to take the assessment in a different classroom.
● Note taking accommodations:
○ For those who have difficulty reading the PowerPoint, they will be encouraged to move closer to
the front.
○ For those with auditory disabilities, the instructor will ensure that closed captions are on.
○ For those who need extra time to understand what has been previously taught, the instructor can
designate time to help the student solidify the information.
● Assignment completion accommodations:
○ If more time is needed to finish the assessment, the instructor can allocate more time accordingly.
○ For those who do not have access to technology at home, they can be granted more time in class or
during any free period until the essay is completed.
5. Instructional Model
● Each day follows a similar setup.
● Opening activity:
○ A bell ringer or assessment that helps track student understanding.
● Presentations:
○ There are two different presentations included in this lesson plan:
■ PowerPoint lecture
■ Video lecture
○ This allows for students to practice taking notes on different forms of lectures.
● Closing activities:
○ Closing activities vary from day to day.
○ Some days students are peer reviewing each other's assessments, finishing their own individual
assessments, or taking note.
6. Rationale for Instructional Model
● The beginning of the lesson plan revolves around gauging what students already
know.
● The next section of the lesson plan is teaching students the necessary material.
● Students are then assessed to guage comprehension.
● This instruction model offers a simple yet effective method of teaching students.
The beginning of the lesson plan lets the instructor know what information needs
more focus. The middle of the lesson plan (the largest section) is spent teaching
the material. The last part, the assessments, help engrave the information in the
students minds.
