KUTWELL is ExxonMobil's line of soluble cutting oils that mix readily with water to form stable emulsions for cooling and lubricating metalworking tools. It is available in a petroleum-based grade, KUTWELL 40, and a semi-synthetic grade, KUTWELL 82. Both provide excellent emulsion stability, rust protection, lubrication, and cooling. They can be used for a wide range of machining operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. When preparing the emulsions, the instructions specify adding oil to water while mixing and maintaining certain oil to water ratios depending on the material and operation.
