By the end of the lesson, pupils can
1. Describe the impact of gadgets on our lives today
2. Provide 2 suggestions to solveproblems related to the misuse of gadgets in their lives today
Success Criteria (SMART):The pupils can
1. List 3 uses of gadgets and justify the reason they need the gadgets
2. Compare two different situations with gadgets and without
3. Suggest 2 ways to overcome the misuse of gadgets
ACTIVITIES:
Starter(Class) (10 mins):
Teacher shows an advertisement of various gadgets.
Students respond to questions such as:
1. Why do you need gadgets in their life?
2. What are the uses of gadgets?
Main Activities:
Activity 1(Pair) (10 minutes):
Students lists why they need smart phones in their lives and justify the reasons why they need the phones
Activity 2 (Group) (15 minutes):
Compare two pictures(Double bubble map)
a) of a family with gadgets and a family without gadgets at dinner.
b) People at a meeting
Activity 3 (Group) (15 minutes):
The students present their findings.
Plenary: (Class)(10 minutes)
The class concludes on the importance of family values and communication. - ethics, when and where to
use the gadgets and suggests ways to overcome the problems.

Learning Standard: 1.3.2 Respond to visual texts to compare and contrasts 1.3 Provide 2 suggestions to solve problems related to the misuse of gadgets in their lives today Learning Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils can 1. Describe the impact of gadgets on our lives today 2. Provide 2 suggestions to solveproblems related to the misuse of gadgets in their lives today Success Criteria (SMART):The pupils can 1. List 3 uses of gadgets and justify the reason they need the gadgets 2. Compare two different situations with gadgets and without 3. Suggest 2 ways to overcome the misuse of gadgets ACTIVITIES: Starter(Class) (10 mins): Teacher shows an advertisement of various gadgets. Students respond to questions such as: 1. Why do you need gadgets in their life? 2. What are the uses of gadgets? Main Activities: Activity 1(Pair) (10 minutes): Students lists why they need smart phones in their lives and justify the reasons why they need the phones Activity 2 (Group) (15 minutes): Compare two pictures(Double bubble map) a) of a family with gadgets and a family without gadgets at dinner. b) People at a meeting Activity 3 (Group) (15 minutes): The students present their findings. Plenary: (Class)(10 minutes) The class concludes on the importance of family values and communication. - ethics, when and where to use the gadgets and suggests ways to overcome the problems.
