This double-blind randomized clinical trial evaluated the effectiveness of krill oil compared to fish oil for managing premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea in 70 women. Participants took either krill oil or fish oil for 3 months. Results showed krill oil significantly reduced PMS symptoms and analgesic use for dysmenorrhea within the krill oil group and compared to fish oil. The study demonstrates krill oil can effectively manage symptoms of PMS and dysmenorrhea and is more effective than fish oil.
