Society types: Mechanical Solidarity (Society) & Organic Solidarity (Society). Mechanical Solidarity is
found in simple societies. Simple division of labor, common ethos, common language, common knowledge,
common religion, common morality, and common ethics. Organic societies are held together by the far weaker
bonds of Interdependence. They share little else and feature many of the tensions we associate with our
society when we try to figure out who belongs.
Social Facts: Things in the mind that are real because they have an effect on not just one mind but many. Not
caused by genetic inheritance, so they are cultural and learned. Durkheim demonstrates the power of social
facts by studying suicide and proving that rates of suicide.
SCIENCE OF LIVING
“The fundamentals of science of living may be defined as” the body of knowledge consisting of certain principles which define the style of life, show the problems and solutions and present the path for the betterment of way of life. The modern and contemporary culture is having an impact on education. Education is more understood to be a training for getting some skills to earn and live luxuriously than to improve knowledge and inculcate culture to have a journey for truth. When the education and training are endowed with the value s then the system becomes more a path for perfection. Such education backed by training can make the man to observe, analyse, synthesise and interpret the actions of his bodymind complex and make him potential enough to do a thing, pragmatic enough to be efficient and wise enough to have a hunt for peace and bliss. In his hunt for peace and bliss he finds out the first hurdle in his mind.

Every human society is an enterprise of world-building. Religion occupies a distinctive place in this enterprise. Our main purpose here is to make some general statements about the relationship between human religion and human world-building. Before this can be done intelligibly, however, the above statement about the world-building efficacy of society must be explicated. For this explication it will be important to understand society in dialectic terms (1).
Society is a dialectic phenomenon in that it is a human product, and nothing but a human product, that yet continuously acts back upon its producer. Society is a product of man. It has no other being except that which is bestowed upon it by human activity and consciousness. There can be no social reality apart from man. Yet it may also be stated that man is a product of society. Every individual biography is an episode within the history of society, which both precedes and survives it. Society was there before the individual was born and it will be there after he has died. What is more, it is within society, and as a result of social processes, that the individual becomes a person, that he attains and holds onto an identity, and that he carries out the various projects that constitute his life. Man cannot exist apart from society. The two statements, that society is the product of man and that man is the product of society, are not contradictory. They rather reflect the inherently dialectic character of the societal

phenomenon. Only if this character is recognized will society be understood in terms that are adequate to its empirical reality (2).
The fundamental dialectic process of society consists of three moments, or steps. These are externalization, objectivation, and internalization. Only if these three moments are understood together can an empirically adequate view of society be maintained. Externalization is the ongoing outpouring of human being into the world, both in the physical and the mental activity of men. Objectivation is the attainment by the products of this activity (again both physical and mental) of a reality that confronts its original producers as a facticity external to and other than themselves. Internalization is the reappropriation by men of this same reality, transforming it once again from structures of the objective world into structures of the subjective consciousness. Ecology and Environment in World Lake Conference 2007
Natural Resources like sea water, estuaries, rivers which are the habitats of aquatic species have to be reserved because their protection and conservation would help to retain the diversity of species as well as to have filling up of the wetlands, Annicuts, lakes and ponds (Fig. 5).
Before independence the water from this lake was hardly used for any purpose and the lake remained more or less full throughout the year. The water of this lake was so clean those days that most British Officers used its water for drinking purposes. All the three islands were full of vegetation and hundreds of aquatic birds and waders used them for their nests.
The lake was also ideal for migratory birds and several types of migratory birds wintered in this lake. The human interference was restricted to bathing and washing of clothes and that too, in a limited number as the population was practically confined inside the walled city and there were two more lakes nearer to the city other than Fatehsagar. It was most balanced and a perfect wetland those days.
Though the fisheries department periodically stock the lake with fingerlings of exotic, commercially viable fishes of three or four types only, the other fishes, specially cat fishes, are now on the threshold of extinction in the lake, the demand for water also increased. The water works department started pumping water from the lake which resulted into constant and major fluctuation of water level in the lake. Several permanent marshy places with reeds and other types of aquatic flora and fauna are now no more in the lake.
The oil spillage from these boats, is affecting the aquatic fauna and smoke is polluting air. Several Khomachawaqla's outside the lake and a restaurant inside the lake throw garbage into the lake. About two years back the author calculated the quantity of garbage.
Due to constant disturbances all around the lake by automobiles and in the lake by boats and lack of aquatic vegetation, the lake is becoming less inhospitable for a variety of migratory birds. Grey legged Goose, Bareheaded Goose, Demoisal Crane, Brahminy Ducks and Teals etc which were the most common sight in the winter are no more seen in the lake. Some of the damage done to this wetland is irreversible but still we can rectify some of our gross mistakes and for this we have to take some drastic steps to save this wetland otherwise in due course of time this lake will be converted into a semi-sewerage pond.
