The document discusses how digital business and artificial intelligence are changing industries. It notes that the largest taxi, accommodation, and media companies own few or no assets in their industries. It also mentions that AI patents have more than tripled in 10 years and over $4 billion has been invested in AI startups. Finally, it states that 78% of executives say businesses will need to manage people working alongside machines.
IoT in the combination of ML can help you automate your business and optimize the processes. Let's explore the future possibilities of combining ML with IoT.
The document discusses predictions for the future of user experience design in 2030 based on current technological trends. It suggests that augmented reality, virtual reality, voice control and other interfaces will become major platforms, requiring new design skills. It also predicts that artificial intelligence will perform much of the design work, and that designers will need skills in coding, data analysis, systems design and business strategy to remain relevant. The document advises designers to continuously learn new skills, think beyond just design, and prepare for their role to evolve significantly over the next decade.

Thank you for the detailed review of the protein bars. I'm glad to hear you and your family are enjoying them as a healthy snack and meal replacement option. A couple suggestions based on your feedback:
- For future orders, you may want to check the expiration dates to help avoid any dried out bars towards the end of the box. Freshness is key to maintaining the moist texture.
- When introducing someone new to the bars, selecting one in-person if possible allows checking the flexibility as an indicator it's moist inside. This could help avoid a disappointing first impression from a dry sample.
- Storing opened boxes in an airtight container in the fridge may help extend the freshness even further when you can't

Artificial intelligence refers to developing computer systems that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, like analyzing information, learning from patterns, and making decisions or taking actions. This document then lists various AI tools and services related to text summarization, chatbots, image editing, document conversion, and podcast creation.
The document discusses how the future of the Internet of Things (IoT) will be cognitive. It notes that cognitive capabilities like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning are driving new capabilities. By 2025, annually 1 Bronto Byte of data will be created, but currently 80% of data is "dark." The rise of cognitive systems means they can understand text, images, and speech with context; reason and interpret information; and continuously learn from every interaction. Examples are given of how cognitive systems can be applied in retail, sales/marketing, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, quality control, and automotive to augment human performance.

Hyperledger Fabric is an implementation of blockchain technology created by the Linux Foundation. It provides a modular architecture and flexible hosting options for developing blockchain applications. Key features include a shared ledger, smart contracts implemented as chaincode, and privacy/permissioning through membership services. The document provides an overview of Hyperledger Fabric v1 and its technical architecture, including concepts like channels, endorsement policies, and the role of ordering service nodes. It also walks through the steps of a sample transaction flow in the network.
This document discusses key concepts and components related to blockchain solutions, including actors such as users, developers, operators, and architects. It describes various components that make up blockchain solutions such as ledgers, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, and how applications interact with blockchains. It also covers considerations for blockchain developers and operators, and challenges around integrating blockchains with existing systems and achieving determinism.
Blockchain is a shared, immutable ledger that can record transactions and track assets in business networks. It allows companies to share records and establish trust without the need for a central authority. IBM's blockchain platform uses Hyperledger Fabric to develop applications that provide benefits like reduced costs, improved traceability and data sharing between organizations. It can help industries like finance, supply chain and healthcare by creating transparency and efficiency in business processes.

ViewShift: Hassle-free Dynamic Policy Enforcement for Every Data LakeWalaa Eldin Moustafa
Dynamic policy enforcement is becoming an increasingly important topic in today’s world where data privacy and compliance is a top priority for companies, individuals, and regulators alike. In these slides, we discuss how LinkedIn implements a powerful dynamic policy enforcement engine, called ViewShift, and integrates it within its data lake. We show the query engine architecture and how catalog implementations can automatically route table resolutions to compliance-enforcing SQL views. Such views have a set of very interesting properties: (1) They are auto-generated from declarative data annotations. (2) They respect user-level consent and preferences (3) They are context-aware, encoding a different set of transformations for different use cases (4) They are portable; while the SQL logic is only implemented in one SQL dialect, it is accessible in all engines.

Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with both tradition
and achieving success. You care more about making
your own path than following what others have done.
And you make decisions with little regard for how
they show off your talents.

32. Transparency: For cognitive systems to fulfill their
world-changing potential, it is vital that people have
confidence in their recommendations, judgments and
uses. Therefore, the IBM company will make clear:
•When and for what purposes AI is being applied in
the cognitive solutions we develop and deploy.
•The major sources of data and expertise that
inform the insights of cognitive solutions, as well as
the methods used to train those systems and
solutions.
•The principle that clients own their own business
models and intellectual property and that they can
use AI and cognitive systems to enhance the
advantages they have built, often through years of
experience. We will work with our clients to protect
their data and insights, and will encourage our clients,
partners and industry colleagues to adopt similar
practices.
