The study investigates knowledge and social construction of epilepsy treatment among households in Vihiga County, Kenya, highlighting significant stigma and misconceptions surrounding the condition. Results revealed that while many respondents recognized the symptoms of epilepsy, there was a marked lack of understanding regarding its causes and effective treatment modalities, with a variety of cultural beliefs impacting perceptions. The findings underscore the importance of educational interventions to address knowledge gaps and reduce stigma associated with epilepsy in the community.
