Project Home Children's Foundation
Supporting adoptions, orphanages, education and programs for disadvantaged children, including those with disabilities
501c3 non-profit incorporated in 2010
Lovedale Foundation, a not-for-profit organization at Bangalore with a mission to unleash the potential of under-served children from stone quarries, orphanages, streets and slums since 2001. As of today we run a formal school that provide quality education, nutrition, total healthcare and family support to 350 children from 8 village communities in Anagalpura Village in the outskirts of Bangalore. We believe that it is only with quality education and care that the under-served children from such vulnerable situations can break out of the cycle of poverty and grow into contributing members of society. Our other comprehensive programs are vocational training for youth in cooperation with the state and long term support to destitute children referred to us by child protection machinery in the state. Donations to Lovedale are tax exempted under 80 G.
Unusual, fascinating, helpful. I think that I can describe my project like that. Itwas a game like Encounter with logical tasks. There also were some tasks, when children should hurry up. The most pleasant task for children was making the impression of the hand on the wall under the placard "Global Youth Service Day" if you have seen their happy faces that moment! It was really nice! I made the first of april the funny and unordinary day for children from an Orphanage House. I also think that I unite the children, because they were so friendly and tolerant with each other during and after the game! I like my way of project and now I really think that Encounter is the best game in the world I've ever seen!
Revive-a-Life Orphanage, Uganda, is supported by Huggabears, Inc. Huggabears is a charitable non-profit that sends 99% of your donation to the designated charity (less about 1% for wiring fees). Literacy Skill for the Girl Child - A Panacea for Reducing World Povertyleadershipmgtservice
A literate community is a dynamic community, one that exchanges ideas and engages in debate. Illiteracy, however, is an obstacle to a better quality of life, and can even breed exclusion and violence.
Mentoring is the presence of a caring individual(s) who provides a young person with support, advice, friendship, reinforcement and constructive role modelling over time.
The Alberta Mentoring Partnership (AMP) consists of community mentoring agencies, government and youth working together to raise the profile of mentoring in Alberta.
To achieve this goal, AMP partners are collaborating to establish and enhance mentoring programs in local communities. We're helping build capacity by providing access to best practices and sound research supported by tools and resources that will help mentoring agencies start new programs or make existing programs even better.
Ultimately, AMP exists to help community mentoring programs meet the needs of the children and youth they serve.
