King Jesus Luther King delivered the keynote speech at the 2nd Trail Blazers Conference at the University of Ghana. He welcomed young entrepreneurs and said the conference was an opportunity for them to be inspired, trained, and motivated to bring out their best and promote their businesses. King encouraged the entrepreneurs to not be afraid of failure or mistakes, and to start small with little capital. He wished for them to make amazing mistakes as that means they are trying new things and learning. King concluded by telling the entrepreneurs to believe in themselves, not let future disappointments stop them, and to start taking action toward their dreams and goals.

3. I welcome you all to the Trail Blazers Conference. Trail Blazers Conference
is the coming together of young entrepreneurs to be inspired, trained and
motivated to bring out the best in them and also bring their business to light.
Today, we have some outstanding young people here today who I think
represent the promise of entrepreneurship not only in Africa but over the
world. Let us keep learning and making new things. If we want to avoid
branding the young people as a “Lost Generation”, we need to act quickly.
One important active labour market strategy to solve the youth
unemployment crisis is entrepreneurship, helping them turn into job creators
rather than job seekers. Let us invest in entrepreneurship because
Entrepreneurship creates new jobs and new businesses, new ways to deliver
basic services, new ways of seeing the world and it is a spark of prosperity.
It helps citizens stand up for their rights.

4. Entrepreneurship offers a positive alternative to the ideologies of
violence and division that can all too often fill the void when young
people don’t see a future for themselves. Do not wait for a huge capital
or all materials needed to start a venture before you go into business
but start from scratch, little by little. I always say, that when you feel
like drinking water and you walk to any store to buy water; you don’t
say “I want to buy pure water”. You say, “I am buying voltic”. This is
due to the fact that voltic has branded themselves into the hearts and
minds of everybody. They didn’t start huge but only with little. Do not
be afraid of failure or making mistakes. I have made mistakes and
failed many times but I have never given up. In fact I wish the same
for you all.

5. I hope that this month to come, you make mistakes. Because if
you are making mistakes, then you are making new things,
trying new things, learning new things, living, pushing
yourself, changing your world. You are doing things you have
never done before and more importantly, you are doing
something. So that is my wish for you, and all of us. Make
glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody has ever
made before. Don’t stop, don’t worry that it is not good
enough, or it is not perfect, whatever it is, art or love or work
or family or life. Whatever it is you are scared of doing. Make
your mistakes and eventually, you will succeed tomorrow.

6. Believe to achieve all your dreams; do not let your
future self to be disappointed in you for not taking
actions on what you believe in. What do you believe
in? Do you think you are a failure? No! You are the
unique person the world is waiting for. Start thinking
of how you are going to start, where you are going to
start and who you will start with.
