Measure the length of the muscle with tape
Cut the tape to length
Measure another length of tape at a curve
Cut the tape to length
Double up the tape, join the two ends together
and round the edges
Place tape over the muscle to re-check length
Tear one end of the tape’s paper backing
Anchor one end of tape over the greater
trochanter
Gently peel off the paper backing and stretch
tape over the length of muscle
Place the tape firmly over the area, ending at
the gluteal surface of the ilium
Tear through and remove the paper backing
from the other length of prepared tape
Anchor one end at the base of the greater
trochanter (same as previous)
Stretch the tape over the muscle at an angle,
forming a V-shape with the tape already in place
Stretch the tape along the curve of the gluteus
maximus and press down firmly
