This document discusses six kinds of verbs: 1. Action verbs that describe physical or mental actions. 2. Transitive verbs that require an object to complete their meaning. 3. Intransitive verbs that are complete without an object. 4. Linking verbs that connect subjects and complements and show states of being. 5. Helping/auxiliary verbs added before other verbs to form verb phrases. 6. Phrasal verbs that consist of a verb and preposition.
