Male killer whales can grow as large as elephants, weighing up to 12,000 pounds, with black backs and white bellies. They hunt a wide variety of prey using different techniques, including knocking prey like seals off ice, pushing fish into small groups, and slapping their tails on the ice to knock prey off. Killer whales live in all oceans and use their three inch teeth to defend themselves, though they were once hunted by humans.
