Tigers are large, orange cats with dark stripes, weighing 350-550 pounds. They live in forests and swamps near water in India and Nepal, eating deer, pigs, buffalo, and even young elephants or humans when hungry. Tigers give birth to 1-6 cubs after a 2-3 month pregnancy and are threatened by humans as their main enemy, with only about 4200 tigers remaining.
