Sharks come in many types and sizes, from the giant whale shark that can weigh as much as three elephants to the tiny dwarf shark that fits in the palm of a hand. They have rows of replaceable teeth, can breathe underwater without surfacing like dolphins and whales, and their diets consist of fish, penguins, and other marine creatures. While sharks do not usually attack people, it is best to avoid swimming in waters where sharks have been spotted due to the potential danger posed by sharks like the great white that has over 50 sharp teeth.
