What Students Say
Khan Academy
“I’d rather do this on Khan
Academy - I can watch a video if
I get stuck”
“So I do this skill on Khan
Academy, submit a screenshot
on canvas and earn an at-bat for
a standard? Great!”
Edgenuity
“I wanna do edgenuity. It’s so
much better. That way, I can
move ahead of the class without
waiting”
“I really like edgenuity. It lets me
take my time with it[content] and
I can understand everything very
well
What Parents Say
“My son has dyscalculia. The Khan
Academy exercises just works really
well for his processing. The layout and
comfort of doing assignments online
has really helped him master the
content.”
“I’ve used Khan Academy to learn the
content my kids are studying in
school”
What Teachers Say
“Edgenuity, especially for Geometry, is
really good at the roadmap that is
aligned to the new common core
standards. I would really consider
using it in your Geometry class”
“I started with edgenuity and realized
very quickly that it wasn’t going to
work in my class”
“I think it’s alright. I hate to say it, but
the layout and design is not very user
friendly. It’s really not intuitive”
iLearn for
innovation
You can use edgenuity to create two
separate classes within one. You’ll
have one subset of students taking 1st
semester Geometry and the other in
their second semester. It would be a
daily lift(change) in planning your
lessons. But it could really work. This
enables us to change our grouping of
kids to have mixed-ability classes.
