Director- they director is in chargeof the overallproduction being
presented by the theatre. They also develop the artistic vision of the
production aswell.onethe production starts being performed and
goes on tour the director is in charge of telling the stage mangers
instructions in order to write the book. The director collaborates with
a team of creative individuals and other staff to make surethings like
costumes, designs, props, lighting, setdesign. Sound and acting is
ready and being worked on to allow the production to take place.
Richard Eyre- Richard is a director and producer. The musicals he is
known for is Notes on a Scandalin 2006, Iris in 2001 and Stage
Beauty in 2004. The awards hehas won are drama desk awards for
outstanding director of a play. Then he won a Teddy Audience Award
in 2006 for Notes on a Scandal. Richards also went to the University
of Cambridge.
Trevor Nunn- Trevor is an English theatre, film and television director.
He has been an Artistic Director for the Royal ShakespeareCompany, the
Royal National Theatre and currently at the Theatre Royal in Haymarket.
Les Miserables, Gone with the wind and The Comedy of Errors aresome
of his play. He has also won Laurence Olivier Award for Best New
Musical.

production. They will collaborate within the director in things like
auditioning the singers and making recommendations for the casting.
They create all the schedules for music rehearsals with the director,
choreographer and stage manager. They also teach the cast members
of the show. They work with sound designer and attend production
meetings and rehearsals. They have to have a strong knowledgeof
music styles, music theory and history. They have to do a lot of
conducting and teaching in order to carry out their role.
Choreographer- thechoreographer is responsibleto direct all
creation and dance movements for the production. They haveto
audition the dancers and make recommendations for casting. They
have to make a schedule for dance rehearsals. They have to teach
cast members the dances for the musicalthey are performing. They
also might need to function as a movement coach throughoutthe
show if a particular piece or certain style of movement is required.
They again have to be good at dance styles and history, have
excellent coordination and movement skills.
Peter Darling- Peter is an English Dancer and Choreographer and is best
known for his award winning Billy Elliot. In 2010 he choreographed
Matilda the Musical.
4. Arlene Phillips- Arlene is an English choreographer, theatredirector,
talent scout, television judge and presenter. She is also a former dancer
who has worked in many kinds of entertainment. She has been in
Starlight Express, Annie, Saturday Night Fever, Hot Gossip, Loose
Women and Strictly Come Dancing. She has also won a LaurenceOlivier
Award and Carl Alan Award.
