Theytherefore requiregoodcommunicationskillsaswell asbeingable tocoordinate
effectivelyacrossa wide range of disciplines.
Whenthe productionopens,the directorgivestheirinstructionstothe deputy/stage
managerwhowill write ‘the book’(Fullscriptwithpromptsandcues,scene changes,last
minute changesandcuesfor soundandlighting)
