From the lighting i can tell
that it is a dull, gloomy day.
The light in the background is
fairly dim and dark. There are

The equilibrium is usually the beginning of the
story where everything seems to me normal and
the scene is realistic. (kids riding on their bikes)

storm. This scene tells the audience
that the disturbance in the story is
coming.
Alternatively, the blank white/light
grey sky can also suggest
uncertainty and that what is to come
is unnatural, something we can’t
see or explain, or something we
logically cannot fix. This idea comes
from the fact that we can use clouds
to scientifically predict the weather.
For example when it will rain. Or we
can use the time distance between
thunder and lightning to know if the
storm is getting closer and more
dangerous. However this blank sky
gives no indication and therefore we
are uncertain about the story. This
will excite and thrill the audience.
