Trouble Ticket Integration with Zabbix in Large EnvironmentAlain Ganuchaud
Large Environments rely on TroubleTicket tool and HelpDesk for managing IT issues. Bridging Zabbix with over 5000 servers and HelpDesk manually is a painful and impossible project. In this presentation we will cover how we may integrate Zabbix with HelpDesk, the architecture and what are the issues specially in Large Environments.
As an example, we will cover the case study of Zabbix - ServiceNow integration, as it was developped for SwissLife and released as OpenSource.
Install and Configure NGINX Unit, the Universal Application, Web, and Proxy S...NGINX, Inc.
In this hands-on demo and lab, we take you step-by-step through installing NGINX Unit on a Linux system, then configuring it as an app server, web server, and reverse proxy. Following a short review of production features and demo of the lab environment, we let you loose in a disposable lab environment to try NGINX Unit for yourself. During the lab, we’re available online to answer questions or demo anything you might be stuck on.

Aaron Mildenstein - Using Logstash with ZabbixZabbix
Logstash is a terrific tool for capturing, filtering, parsing and enriching data from a number of sources—including logs, of course. But Logstash is also able to capture from many other sources, including social media streams, databases, and many more. Data streams like these are a potential gold mine for Zabbix trending and alerting of all kinds.
In this talk Aaron Mildensten will provide an overview of how to configure and integrate Logstash with Zabbix to:
* capture data
* parse data events into key/value pairs
* associate an event with the time-stamp provided by the data
* generate metrics from the data
* output these values to Zabbix, with the associated time-stamp

Members from over all over the world streamed over forty-two billion hours of Netflix content last year. Various Netflix batch jobs and an increasing number of service applications use containers for their processing. In this session, Netflix presents a deep dive on the motivations and the technology powering container deployment on top of Amazon Web Services. The session covers our approach to resource management and scheduling with the open source Fenzo library, along with details of how we integrate Docker and Netflix container scheduling running on AWS. We cover the approach we have taken to deliver AWS platform features to containers such as IAM roles, VPCs, security groups, metadata proxies, and user data. We want to take advantage of native AWS container resource management using Amazon ECS to reduce operational responsibilities. We are delivering these integrations in collaboration with the Amazon ECS engineering team. The session also shares some of the results so far, and lessons learned throughout our implementation and operations.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
