The paper discusses an improvement in the transient current response of load transformers utilized in series voltage sag compensators, specifically focusing on dynamic voltage restorers (DVR). It highlights the significance of voltage sags, their causes, and the development of a control method that integrates inrush current mitigation techniques with state feedback controllers to enhance power quality in industrial applications. Laboratory tests are presented to validate the proposed method's effectiveness in reducing inrush currents during voltage sag conditions.
