As a professional colleague of Dr. O’Neill for the past three plus years I am both delighted and
honored to offer my highest endorsement for her contract renewal. She has been especially
supportive to me in my role coordinator for the graduate programs in business in Abu Dhabi by
assisting in interviewing candidates for our programs and in teaching our BUS 663 Organization
Behavior and Leadership class.
Kate is a talented and dedicated academic, in the classroom; in service to the college, university,
and community; and in research. She is admired, respected, and held in high regard by faculty,
university administration, and her students. I witnessed this first-hand in December 2011 when
Kate assisted me by accompanying a group of our Masters of Science in International Business
students on their Capstone study trip to Geneva, Switzerland.
In teaching Kate has been recognized many times as the outstanding teacher in our college. Her
students admire and value her as a firm but fair educator who works diligently to ensure student
success. She is one of the few professors who is both genuinely liked as well as respected. She is
an excellent role model for our students in ethical behavior and professionalism.
In service to the university and college she has served tirelessly in a number of roles. For
example, the college and university have both consistently relied upon her outstanding work on
various committees. Kate consistently contributes whenever called upon.
Recently earning her PhD, Kate has initiated a productive research agenda. She has great
potential to become a talented researcher. I have no doubt this will only accelerate as she has
more time for focus in this area.
In conclusion, Zayed University is very fortunate to have Kate as a faculty member, and I am
extremely confident she will continue to be an invaluable resource.
