1. Managers give back to their community

Managers from the Cache Valley District helped give back to the community by
planting close to 100 trees along with other volunteer groups organized through the
United Way of Cache Valley on Thursday in Nibley, Utah.
Each year, as a team building activity, the managers spend a few hours helping the
community they serve by going out and giving back to those in need.
“It’s a great team building opportunity to show up together and not worry about the
day-to-day branch activities and to be visible to the community,” said Trevor Merrill,
the district manager. “It’s good to volunteer and to get out and help around the
community, even if it’s planting trees for a few hours.”
Wells Fargo invites all of its employees to volunteer around their community each
year as a way of giving back.
“It’s nice to have a company that supports us supporting our community,” said
Braden Merrill, the regional service consultant for Cache Valley. “It’s good to show
up in your red shirts, support the United Way and show off the Wells Fargo brand
name.”
The United Way of Cache Valley hosts the Day of Caring event each year during the
second week of September as a way of giving back to its community.
“We have close to sixteen different companies that come volunteer each year around
the valley,” said Dough Stephenson, the executive director of United Way of Cache
Valley. “This is our seventh year doing this and Wells Fargo has been apart of it for
those seven years. We always appreciate Wells Fargo and the group that comes and
supports its community.”
Volunteers spent half-a-day to make a difference in the community and close to
sixteen projects were completed around the valley.
